Tagging.

Going to be quite the interesting month.

When was the last time in which the battle for a month was genuinely up for grabs for all three if the hardware makers?

Around the Network

Skyrim Switch at 28

Sonic Forces Switch at 31 (with no other version in sight)

Doom Switch at 38

Xenoblade 2 at 54

Would anyone say that this is a good sign for all 4 of them?

Good for Skyrim and Xenoblade, probably as good as one could hope for Sonic, Doom a bit iffy.  We'll have to wait and see.

wow the xbox one x is surpassing my expectations, didn't know people wanted it this much. i'm happy for it but let's see if the hype can follow through the end of this year.

Not this gen. When Xbox1 and PS4 where actually competing the u was irrelevant. So probably right around the Wii collapse.

Halo MCC will sell 5+ million copies(including digital)

halo 5 will sell 10 million copies(including digital)

What I'm really impressed about here is the "physical" version of pubg. Killing it and a month out.

software pushes hardware sales, by recent releases the NS will do the best, by games coming the NS and PS4 will do great but the situation for the Xbox hasn't changed they need to show up with games next year.

Hardware wise for the hardcore gamer the Xbox has delivered, but third parrty games are not enough, they need to announce new games fast if they don't want the xbox one x to join the one s down in the charts. Last year the xbox did pretty good because of forza horizon and gears 4, they need big games next year and then we will see it chart much more often.

As for the NS it has the best first party support already it just needs more 3P support, if that happens it could remain on top of the PS4, its newer and it has more hype and the PS5 will be 3 or less years away and people know it.

I wonder if third party support will matter as much this gen, as it did the last. WiiU burned brightly and shortly, when people shifted their attention to better versions of mainstream multiplats. It will always have the unque portability and top notch first party development going for it, but how will that translate into sales. X1X seems to be lacking first party heavy hitters to start with momentum, and the PS4 is relatively old now. When you factor in the apparently waning enthusiasm for CoD 55 (I could be wrong on this.), most of our old reliables seem...unreliable.
