September went to the Switch with a lead of what, 20k? All the backorders were filled in the last week. You’d think that a system facing big shortages would have huge sales numbers as it finally came on the market but not really.

You do know that the switch had no business winning September? PS4 had two juggernaut releases, destiny 2 and NBA 2k18. Madden also released right at the end of august, aligning it for a big September. While the Switch only had a pokken port. Switch pulled off an upset in September, if anything.

It only outsold ps4 by 10k, and its a system that still had pent up  demand due to stock issues, those games you mentioned didn't offer a real boost, ps4 2015 september 340k, while 2014 was 540k, and 2016 xbox did 332k, while ps4 280k.

And did you forget madden and NBA come out every year? They give a boost every year.

I'm not trying to say that PS4 is declining. That's not my point. My point is that switch won even though PS4 had 3 juggernaut-rank games in the US. They had the marketing deal for the best-selling game in US for 2017. Point is, their "average" September is quite good in terms of sales and software released.

Wow came home from work and I see over 100 new posts to the thread and PS4 reclaimed #1 spot on amazon.

What a week. Before this week, I was nearly certain PS4 had no chance of winning. Together with switch and Mario and the X launch hype, it seemed implausible. But here we are and PS4 is currently #1 and #9 on the monthly so far.

Hopefully Sony will see the significance of the price drop if it does indeed win and leave it at that price.

Just got my PSVR Skyrim Bundle. Played another hour and a half. So I have played a little more than an hour with the old headset and now another hour plus with the new one. Really impressed with the tweaks they made. The new HDMI/USB cord going to the headset is a huge upgrade, no more kicking or stepping on the old connection hub from the ZVR1. Best of all though, no more choosing between, or swapping cables depeneding on conetent!

That said, PSVR Skyrim Bundle is currently sitting at 22. Been flirting with the front page for a while, I wonder if it will be able to make it?

I think that's only because neon is temporarily out of stock.  Even then, I don't think the Grey version is really 'in-stock' because Amazon just says they'll ship when it's available.  I guess stock issues are going to be the Switch's biggest adversary this holiday like many have predicted.
