I'd be very interested to see this question asked in another 20 years. I'd bet the results would skew pretty young.

My sister had a Gameboy and a PS1 before I was born, and I some of my earlieast memories are me playing Pokemon or Crash Team Racing with my family. My sister also taught me how to play Pokemon (and neither of us knew English. I have no idea how we did it).

Oh right. I was probably 2 when I first touched a Gameboy.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Got my first GBC when I was 11, but my parents got me and my brother a sega genesis in 93? maybe.

My first real console all my own was the Dreamcast near the end of its life in 2000. Played that thing to death until I got a PSP in 2008.

Not sure how old I was exactly but I was about 7 years old. My first console was either an Atari 7800 or NES (possibly both at the same time) but my first games machine was a C64 about a year earlier so I think 6-7 for the Commodore and 7-8 for the consoles.

My brother used to have a SNES and a Genesis when I was five or six, so those two were perhaps the first consoles I played. The GBA advanced was the first console I got for myself as a gift. The first one I bought with my own money was the PS2.

I believe I was 2 when I got a PS1, and not too long after, I got a Game Boy.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I was 4 when I got a used SNES (this was in 2000), got a Game Boy Pocket with Yellow for my birthday like a month later, best month ever.

I don't quite know...

Way back maybe when I was 3 I remember my family playing on the Atari 2600, and I played a little bit too.

They probably bought it before I was born. My first proper console that was really mine I got when I was about 8.

It was the Genesis with Sonic 1 and Golden Axe II. Still my favorite games of all time. Golden Axe II in particular takes me back when I play it, I wish someone would sort of remake it, just redraw it and polish the music. It was soooooo good. I remember having fantasies involving the whole atmosphere and even dreaming about it. Good times.

My family had a Commodore 64 when I was ikkle.
