Forums - Sony Discussion - SinglePlayer Is NOT Dead

well in terms of exclusives, both Nintendo and Sony have a load of single-player stuff on the way. And we've just seen a great launch for Mario and probably Ass Creed Origins too.

The so called problem of single-player games seems to be an issue with MS & EA alone. Most recent single-player games that deserved better, such as Dishonoured 2 and Prey, didn't fail because they were single-player, but because of a mixture of stupid release dates, bugs and lack of marketing

Too many people are confusing "single player titles are more difficult financially" with "we're completely done making single player games".

Qft.

Yeah Sony need to be rewarded for supporting single player like gods. You owe it to them to buy a ps4 and these games. Personally I'm so happy to see this epic single player support .

Yep, it's more like... MS is done with making games.

Or for gaming in general. There's no need to believe everything the AAA industry is saying. They haven't gone anywhere and won't be going away anytime soon either

I don't really like open world. But HZD and Infamous were close enough to be pleasant and don't need you going back and forth losing time.

Yep I liked more than I would have expected, beggining to end without taking a break.

Open world games can be both good and bad, just like any other game.
The whole thing about Project Zero Dawn really got me, it was clever, unnexpected and cool.
Facial expressions and not being a well built RPG, the whole thing was a blast. Still the most impressive game to date.

Perhaps, but almost all FPS and OpenWorld get me not excited.

Sony and Nintendo always have a nice balance between single player and multiplayer games. In Nintendo's case at least they don't even have a multiplayer game without some sort of single player functionality either which I find commendable, since it's something they didn't really have to include in some cases.

It's kind of funny that Mario Odyssey released recently yet OP is just giving the credit to Sony.

Either way yes, there are a lot of fantastic single player games. Quite a bit of them are multiplatform as well.

Funny as in MS, Sony and Nintendo consider Nintendo to do their own thing and Sony reveling a lot of games and the list not having games that were released?
