Saying it will be around for many years is not the same thing as saying there won't be a PS5 in 2 or 3 years.

I think games are still be released for the PS2..... so there.

I still hope for a PS4 Premium in 2018 or 2019, followed by a worth while/true next gen PS5 in 2021 - 2023. Wait to deliver PS5 until we can have SSD and 64GB RAM minimum or preferably 128GB.

You definitely don’t need that much RAM.... 16GB is probably enough for PS5.

RAM usually goes up by a factor of 8-16 (2MB on PS1 to 32MB on PS2, 512MB on PS3, and 8GB on PS4). What he's saying isn't too crazy. It's a machine that has to run cutting edge games for 5+ years.

EDIT: On the topic of life expectations, I see the PS5 no earlier than 2020/2021. PS4 has this generation in the bag, no need to rush out a successor.

I figure the PS4 will be around for awhile longer as well. There's no need for the next iteration, and I feel the system just really getting into its stride now.
