They expect to ship just 7.5 million in the last six months of the fiscal year?

They're still lowballing this, in my opinion.

Why ?

I made an arithmetic error.

They actually shipped just under 5 million units, which explains why I was confused earlier.

They actually expect to ship over nine million units.

I WON A BET AGAINST AZUREN! WOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

:3

How long does it usually take a console that's been produced to be shipped?

Because I just remembered the article saying they'd increased switch production to 2m a month, so I guess it must take longer then I thought?

I think that's still lowballing it.
For comparison's sake, the 3DS shipped 10.45 million units in the last six months' of its first fiscal year from October 2011 through March 2012. 8.35 million came from October 1st to December 31st, 2011.

Its actually 9 millions, since the 7.6 million units shipper includes march but the fical year prediction dosent include it.

Edit:Nevermind, you already realized it.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

It's doing better then 3ds. It will be interesting to see how it's legs compare to 3ds.

Its doung much better in the west compared to 3ds. Closer to ps4 performance than 3ds. (Ps4 has an extra holiday advantage)

PS consoels tradionally have much better legs then nintendo ones so it will be interesting to see how it fares in the long run.

PS consoles have better legs compared to Nintendo consoles near end of consoles life, and thats beacuse Nintendo before usualy start abonding platform around 4-5. year of console on market (where Sony were gaving full suport until new console arives), and beacuse Nintendo consoles usualy had shorter life span compared to PS consoles. But I don't think this time will be same case with Switch, because Switch will be probably be family of systems (similar like 3DS) not just single devaice, where evre iteration of hardware will will play same games.
