Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo raised forecast for FY 2017. for Switch from 10m to 14m

Nintendo raised forecast for FY 2017. for Switch from 10m to 14m for hardware, and from 35m to 50m for SW.

Note this is just for FY 2017 (from April 2017. to March 2018) so this forecast dont include March 2017. numbers.

So if Nintendo hit this forecast, Switch will be seating at 16.7m Switch units at end of March. 2018. :D

I think they may have to raise it again once their January Investor's meeting rolls around.

So... 16.7 million Nintendo Switch's by the end of March 2018...? Holy moly! (could probably be higher tho...)

I’m glad to be proven wrong. Didn’t expect switch to sell that good. I think my prediction was that switch will sell 8m by the end of 2017 but right now it is obvious it will certainly sell way more.

So that would be fairly similar to the 3DS' first full fiscal year (13.53 million).

Another PS4.

How many units will they be able to make for th Christmas holidays?

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Come join The 2018 Obscure Game Monthly Review Thread.

So that report that said that they raised their production to 18m Switches by march was likely valid.

A lot, they wouldn't change forecast from 10m to 14m if that isn't case. They sold around 5m in last two quarters, so that means around 9m for two other quarters, so that means they probably plan to sell around 6-7m Switch unints during Q3 (October-December) and around 2-3m for Q4 (January-February).
