Article:

Tl:DR (or watch)

PS4 = 1920x1080 (~60fps)

PS4pro = 2560x1440 (~60fps)

Xbox One = 1440x810 (wavers from 50 to 60fps)

Typical for gen so far..... until Xbox One X comes out I guess.

*edit: forgot, theres a Switch version comeing at some point too right? that ll be intresting too.

What was the average resolution (It was dynamic) of the first Wolfenstein on XBO? I mean I don't know what I was expecting for this anyway, but I guess I had 900p with a similar framerate to PS4 in my head after seeing the PS4 numbers.

Honestly though, I can hardly, if ever, tell when a game dips from like 60-55fps, so it won't bother me at all while playing on PS4 Pro.

Hardly comparable though as this is using id Tech 6 instead of the old Wolfenstein which still ran on the last gen engine (which was pretty noticeable).

As for the Switch version, 720p 60FPS docked look pretty unlikely. Probably 720p 30FPS.

Update from VGTech

The PS4 version uses a dynamic resolution with the lowest pixel count found being 960x972 and the highest pixel count found being 1920x1080. The PS4 Pro version uses a dynamic resolution with the lowest pixel count found being 1280x1296 and the highest pixel count found being 2560x1440. The PS4 Pro version does downsample when outputting at 1080p.

PS4 and Ps4 pro being stated as 60FPS by the OP is pretty bad :P digital foundry points out the xbox one is the worst version but none of the versions are stable 60, maybe the xbox one x will fix it, else we have the PC

Saw  the video,game looks absolutely  amazing  and its running  at a almost  60fps.

That is definitely NOT  typical  for this gen consoles

After playing a couple of hours.....man the texture work in this game is laughably bad most the time, especially some of the humans

I thought I was the only one to notice that. There were times where the character's arms would appear quite low res and blurry, times where textures around other character models would end up looking low res as well as other objects.

Game definitely doesn't look entirely like the first gameplay trailer.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

Game looks amazing. Can't wait to play on the ps4 pro. The first looked good for an early ps4 title and the expansion looked much better. But this takes it to a new level.
