What i read here  https://nintendosoup.com/expect-new-ips-nintendo-switch-2018-beyond-koizumi-says/ is a little bit different. Could you tell if the translation posted in this website is right?

Besides hell i dont know but koizumi is becoming my waifu.

Famitsu: Do you think there are Nintendo Switch users who worry about next year’s software lineup? Given that in just 2017 Nintendo has released hit titles featuring The Legend of Zelda and Super Mario, as well as games featuring “boom IP” such as Splatoon.

Koizumi: Nintendo still has many IPs at its disposal. Not only can our customers expect Nintendo’s traditional IP, but even new IP that people would have never dreamed of. We’re working and preparing our new IP, which players can expect to see in 2018, 2019, and the future. As we are making something that will pierce the hearts of everyone, I hope you will look forward to it.

This?

Almost correct.

Thank you lovely men(or whatever you're onechan)

I really wonder what he means when he says "traditional IPs"it could mean to whole their IPs or only those of their common use(zelda, mario, smash, xeno...)  since what he says next is "IP that would never dreamed of" and "new IPs". Im really thrilled about what it could mean i hope they are preparing new things like Arms or Splatoon it could be awesome to see a nintendo trying a lot of new stuff again.

solo se hablar español

I think he's referencing the New IP from Retro Studios...

Non-traditional for Nintendo could mean a lot of different things.

Is it a new IP? Is it 3rd Party? Is it a franchise that has been long dormant, thought to be dead, getting a revival (F-Zero)? Is it a crossover that nobody would expect or see coming that would be a first time for both franchises, like Mario X Rabbids?

Quite intresting, looking forward.

I hope Nintendo can tackle a game that combines Shadow of the Colossus with The Last Guardian with Scalebound

And it would be cool to see a Western RPG as an exclusive, considering that no other console developer really has one(I don't really count Horizon)

Hopefully we're getting an actually cool and interesting new IP instead of another Arms.

Hey, don't be hatin' now!

Well the other Monolith Soft team seems to be possibly working on something to that effect, if the concept art we saw earlier this year is to be believed.  More likely a 2019 or 2020 title though.

Nintendo has the tallent in house to do pretty much anything.  Will be interesting to see what they pull off.

as awful as that sounds I almost want it to because of how surreal it would be. Nintendo princesses in a beach volleyball scenario? would play it just for the shits and giggles. Although Samus is like 6+ ft tall, I feel like she might have an advantage against the others in volleyball : P

Why not an assortment of the females of Nintendo's catalogue. Pokemon alone could contribute half the Waifu count?

Plus Nintendo might want to do another co-op, and it could even work out for everyone involved.

DOA Volleyball guys: Nintendo, we like being payed, but you asked us to tone down our jiggle physics 50% and make the swimsuits only somewhat tantalizing? How are we going to make money?

Nintendo: For one thing these designs will reduce the likeyhood of another region locking. For another, you are using our characters? Do you know how many people will buy a game just for Cynthia in a bathing suit?

(That is Pokemon Cynthia, not Fire Emblem Cynthia)

DOA: How many?

Nintendo: A lot. Plus do you know how much DLC opportunity you have? You could make more money than a port to the Xbox would lifetime just on costumes, let alone going obscure. Also we have Krysta. Do you know how many furries that DLC alone could sell the game for, even with only 50% jiggle physics.

The sequel will add guest characters like Bayonetta, Tifa Lockheart, Chun Li and Rouge from Sonic Adventure. And a Birdo amiibo.

Oneee-Chan is awesome for giving us a more proper translation. (a)

Anyway what kind of non-traditional IP are they talking about? Are they going to make a FPS? That feels redundant with Splatoon. Could be a horror game like Eternal Darkness. I don't think that will sell systems though.

Discussing Switch's future is going to be very interesting in the next 2-3 years.
