Forums - Movies & TV - Favorite Movies and Directors

Now that I've asked that question, my 2 favorite directors are Stanley Kubrick, and Martin Scorsese. My top movies are Stanley Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket (Gunnery Sgt. Hartman is my avatar), and Martin Scorsese's gangster saga Goodfellas.

Currently (Re-)Playing: Starcraft 2: Legacy of the Void Multiplayer, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

Currently Watching: The Shield, Stein's;Gate, Narcos

Wow, Stanley Kubrick and Martin Scorsese? I gotta say, pretty unconventional picks. Impressive.

Anyways, I don't have a favorite director. But I will list my favorite movies:

Alien

American History X

Casino

EDIT: FUCK, how could I forget about Fargo!!!!

Neon Genesis: The End of Evangelion

Priscilla: Queen of the Deser

Trainspotting

I'm way more knowledgable about music than movies. The whole format of movies makes it hard to get into.

Favorite Movie

Kimi No Na Wa (Your Name)

Favorite Director

Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight Trilogy, Inception, Dunkirk, Interstellar)

Some of my favorite moves from more recent years are Spirited Away, Talk to Her, Lost in Translation, House of Flying Daggers, Grizzly Man, The Lives of Others, There Will Be Blood, A Separation, The Wind Rises, Selma, Mad Max: Fury Road, etc.

I wouldn't say I really have any favorite directors. I generally don't pay much mind to who's directing what.

Some of my favorite movies include;
Gladiator
The Matrix
The Departed
Inglorious Bastards
Django Unchained
Die Hard
Ocean's Eleven
Fight Club
Coming to America
Batman (The 89 version)

But I could go on for ages really.....I have tons of favorite movies
