You think the USA cares about Crimea?
LOL.
No, the real reason the USA Government became anti-Russia (remember when Obama and the Democrats gushed all over RUssia?) is because Putin is pro-Assad.
If tomorrow Putin announced he'd help take out Assad, all of a sudden the USA would love Russia/Putin again.

Trump has always said that.
In his opening speech in June 2015, he literally said that and called our leaders "stupid."
"How stupid are our leaders? How stupid are they?"

Putin may have a lot of power, but I highly doubt that there aren't plans in place in case something does happen to him. |
To suggest they'd be the same without Putin would be a bet I'm willing to take. But I would say it definitely would not be as strong or hostile without him. If he lives he'll have a chance to appoint a successor similar to him. Which we may see happen in 2018/2019 (forget when their election is) because I believe Putin is about to retire after 18yrs

What makes this interesting: On October 1st he was supposed to enforce the sanctions congress passed to be used against Russia for meddling in our election. He didn't. He completely ignored it without any consequence and has STILL ignored it. People also seem to have forgotten it, somehow. Less than a week ago it was revealed by the Russian lawyer who talked to Donnie Jr, that Jr said, that they'd lift sanctions on Russia if they won. This was during the same meeting when they tried exchanging that offer for damning info on Clinton which the lawyer did not bring. However, just because they did not get that info in the meeting does not make what they did any less of a crime. |
Obama and Clinton spent 2 years delaying the Magnistky Act with everything they could, and when Obama was finally forced to sign it he threw a hissy fit and said it was stupid.

How is that relevant to what I said? This is not about them. Stop trying to use whataboutism.

Trump's not going to sign sanctions until there is actual proof of election hacking.
And you don't know what "whataboutism" is. I am not saying "What about..." I am saying it doesn't matter.
Obama spent 5 years telling us how great Russia and Putin was lol. He basically called Romney an idiot for saying Russia was a threat.

More whataboutism. Not even going to attempt to reason with you. Not worth my time. Bye.

"Vice President Joe Biden assailed Mitt Romney as “fundamentally wrong” and “totally out of touch” on foreign policy in a campaign speech Thursday — contrasting that to a record of President Barack Obama’s tough but right choices. Drawing contrasts between President Barack Obama and comments Romney has made on the campaign trail in 2008 and this year, Biden attacked the former Massachusetts governor for being “one of a small group of Cold War holdovers,” for naming Russia as a major threat to the United States and at times referring to Soviets. I don’t know whether it’s a slip of the tongue or a mind-set … Everybody slips. I never do, but everyone does,” Biden said in a self-deprecating nod to his own gaffes." - Then VP Joe Biden http://www.politico.com/story/2012/04/biden-assails-mocks-romney-on-foreign-policy-075653
