Nintendo Switch games again occupied multiple spots in the list of best-selling individual games of the month, including Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle from Ubisoft at No. 7, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild at No. 10 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe at No. 11. Also, the Metroid: Samus Returns game for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems debuted at No. 8.

Is this list for multiplats combined or seperated per platform?

Globally in US, I presume? /s

Where did anyone say it's globally?

The thread title should be more specific. Anyways ps4 is still leading the switch in the us this year because of the massive sales in june.

That's huge. Switch is really making an interesting competition with the PS4. It's a shame that in Europe that seems an impossible battle (still doing good though).

So the age of Ps4 is done?
Next month will be Switch again and November will be Xbox One. December is also unlikely for Ps4 to win.

Q1 will be Switch or Xbox, too when Switch and Xbox One X hopefully meet demand.

Finally some competition for the sales leader

It's never really been the "age of PS4" in the US. It was the most consistent winner, but overall its lead has never been that big (it's only about 14% ahead of the X1, and that after a pretty weak year for the X1).

Yep Nintendo is hardware marketshare in Japan is way higher than in the US. Luckily for Sony the PS4 sales in Europe usually more than double those of the Switch.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Nintendo is killing it, Switch won US 3 months in a raw and 5 months from 7 months from launch.

It sold better than SNES mini??? OMG

So, NS>SNES>PS4?

"In September, the Nintendo Switch system was once again the top-selling current-generation console hardware"

And? If PS4 is included with current gen systems so is SNES mini...

Oh sorry, I thought you just misread, not that you were deliberately misinterpretting. If that's the case, go on.

But why would they put "current-generation" in if it wasn't outsold by something they don't class as  "current-generation" console hardware. There's no need to say it if it outsold everything.

I wouldn't say SNES mini is part of any console generation, and by the looks of it neither do NPD.

great sales for switch :)
