Forums - Sales - Analysis of million sellers by sales volume and ratio

I can't really track published vs. developed. VG Chartz doesn't have any way to list the latter, and I'd rather not check Wikipedia for roughly 500 games to figure out what development studio made what game. But if you want to, don't let me hold you back.

Wow, Nintendo is the king in software.

One thing you have to take into account (and I may well add this later) is how long the company has been releasing games. Nintendo's recorded game release history on VG Chartz spans back to 1983. Most of these companies' histories are recorded on VG Chartz starting some time in the early to mid 1990s. That Nintendo has such a disproportionate quantity of million sellers is not as shocking in that context; they've been around longer than many of their competitors, after all.

Nearly a third of all Nintendo's games are million seller. WOW. Thats impressive. And they have surely have sold more than 1 billion games. With the other 68.6% of nintendos games would account for 55 million games(sounds alot).

If these numbers are correct, it would be pretty hard for someone to say that Nintendo doesn't make the best games.  Nearly 1/3 of all Nintendo games break a million, wow.

If you got the sales from this site then the Blizzard are definetly wrong, since they make PC games.

Of course the data is from VG Chartz. It's well-known that PC game data from this site is incomplete, and thus data for Blizzard and Electronic Arts in particular is not entirely accurate.  I did say in my disclaimer that this is entirely for entertainment purposes, and not for attacking or defending arguments, remember.
