Says who? 50,000 signatures from people who have made no true commitment, and likely wouldn't represent 1/10 of what would need to be sold to justify the port - assuming all 50K are even legitimate.
This isn't like people wrote actual letters by hand, spent money on stamps, and sent them. Or braved freezing weather to harass strangers in the hopes of a signature. If internet petitions were worth a dime a dozen, that'd be worth ten times their current value.
RE5 is only coming to the Wii in a watered down version, if at all (and my guess is NOT at all). If you must waste your time on this, try asking for a new game, though if the 2million copies of RE4 and REUC haven't convinced them, I'm not sure what a petition would do.
