Im low balling the ps4 numbers cause tbh i have a feeling when gran turismo releases oct 17th that alone (based on history of the franchise) will move an ungodly amount of bundled systems (especially in europe) so the ps4 will most likely be around the 21M+ mark depending on how strong gran turismo ends up.

13.3 MILLION sales for the Switch in 2017???

Do you expect Switch to sell as well as the PS4 in it's first year?

The correct objection to 13.3 million is that Nintendo has consistently said that they can't produce that much.

Switch actually is selling as well as PS4 in its first year. The holidays will put PS4 ahead (unless Nintendo is just bluffing and actually can radically increase their supply).

From December 29th, 2013 to August 16th, 2014, PS4 sold 5,867,004.
From March 3rd, 2017 to August 12th, 2017, Switch sold 5,750,542.

If you don't think that Jan + Feb + March for PS4 is equivalent to solely March for Switch:

Between May 4th, 2014 and August 16th, 2014, PS4 sold 2,257,214. (15 weeks)
Between April 30th, 2017 and August 12th, 2014, Switch sold 2,367,661. (15 weeks)

(I didn't use April because Switch's sales were still slightly inflated from the March launch, and it wouldn't be fair for PS4)

The 3DS actually outsold the PS4 in its first year. And the Switch is outselling the 3DS by quite a large margin.

It depends on the stock, but if let's say the Switch follows a sales curve similar to the 3DS (which it should), it would end up above PS4 quite easily (reminder: Switch hasn't had a holiday yet). But Nintendo probably won't ship that many.
