Forums - Nintendo - In terms of Indies, Nintendo's support is best this year

It's not the console, brah, it's the users. Case and point.

Users happy about a console being succesful, that makes you mad.

Happiness has nothing to do with it; it's all the nonsense being spewed.

Yes. A succesful Nintendo console that makes you mad.

It's not the console, brah, it's the users. Case and point.

Again, this is bad logic. I mean in the case of Star Ocean, he literally said "This is why I don't like it when Nintendo succeeds" ... about a FORUM. Think about that. Someone doesn't want Nintendo to succeed, because of how *forum* users act when they do. Just shut off the fucking internet if peoples biases or happiness is going to affect you that much ...

And it's on the Playstation side all the time. Again, PS4 sucked for years and people celebrated it. PS4 on this site has just as hardcore of a fanbase, Nintendo fans are just more outspoken because they've had to deal with the big U for fucking years.

Really, can you blame them? I don't.

Nonsense? Like what nonsense?

That indies are being succesful on the Switch?

And this is why I dont like when Nintendo does well. Any moderate success is instantly turned into some massive hyperbole like this threads premise

The sales success, fast rise of the platform, and the portability of the system are not hyperbole, they're fact. You don't like Nintendo to have success because it makes people happy and excited.

You have a very negative attitude, you should fix that.

You suggest that the Switch is the definitive and best platform for indies?

Like everything I just quoted. A few indies (out of hundreds released this year) become successful on Switch and suddenly it's the best place for indie games, where all/most of said games RUN as well or better, the library has/will have more good ones than anywhere else, and there's no reason to buy an indie game on any other platform. It's absurd.

I think you're forgetting that 1 of the 4 months the PS4 lost against the Switch was because it was the launch month of the Switch. The rest of the wins have low margins - as low as 5K. Could be due to the release of anticipated Switch games like Splatoon. In any case, the US is a close race in the months post the Switch launch month. And the Switch is expected to sell more than the PS4 as it is the newer console. You're also forgetting that the US is still only 1 country.

Right, because consoles sell the most in their first year on the market. That's why PS4 sold the most in 2014 and has only declined since. It's not like PS4 is selling faster in 2017 than in any previous year or anything.

That's not what I said but on a month-to-month basis, surely a newer console is expected to outsell a console that's 3.5 years old. Your comparison with the PS4's 2014 kinda fails because, in 2014, the PS4 was outselling the older systems.

If you're going to make a point with me in it, get it right. I'd prefer they didn't do well, doesn't mean I don't want them to succeed. You even misquoted me, on purpose.

And what kind of analysis do you believe Nintendo fans should make with the succesful stories posted by devs and the amount of new content announced frequently?

What conclusion should be reached with that? Or must fans should be quiet about it?

Maybe this kind of nonsense will be avoided if in first place people warned devs to not believe in their success, let alone post it to let anyone know about it.

Yet you didn't care when the hyperboles came from other place, the one and only place to play, the console for the player, the saviour of gaming, the only right leader for the industry, the one who makes everything right, I guess after years of hyperboles one just stop seeing them.

Mr. Moon, you and I both know that is statement is 100% incorrect.

Misquoted you on purpose? You're just going to throw accusations around because you don't have any ground to stand on? You just automatically went to "He misquoted me... on purpose!" Maybe I just i don't know ... paraphrased what you said because I didn't want to go pages back?

Here's what you said :

"And this is why I dont like when Nintendo does well. Any moderate success is instantly turned into some massive hyperbole like this threads premise"

Soooooo much better amirite? I mean honestly, if I presented a fallacy or misconstrued what you said I could understand why you'd think I "purposely" misquoted you. But it's pretty much exactly what you said. Stop with semantics.

"I'd prefer they didn't do well, doesn't mean I don't want them to succeed. "

This doesn't even make sense.

Not wanting Nintendo to do well because you don't like forum users attitudes is honestly pathetic.
