Your gif, I can't read it there's not there's no words on it.. there's no WORDS there!

lol

Basically I was saying to quit your argument the moment you mentioned Fifa and NBA 2K on Wii U. I owned 2K 13 on Wii U. I played Fifa with my friend too ( which I gave 2k to).

Oh, you're right. I stand corrected. Still, Skyrim, Doom, and then Wolfenstein. There's also talk of FF15 and Overwatch (do it Blizzard. I will buy the game and pimp out Mei... N-not like that, I mean buy accessories for her) on it as well as Rocket League confirmed for it.

Gotta start somewhere.

I agree that at this stage 3rd Party support is (conditionally) better, but you had a self defeating argument.

Some bad examples, yes. I'm stoked for Doom regardless.

Agreed. I'm still very much looking foward to it, despite the recent revelations

I know what Switch is... check my posting history. Second, Switch is more capable than Wii U, even as a portable so my comparison is fair and valid. Hell, Switch has improved on the Wii U ports it has recieved.

Your other points have nothing to do with anything. You completely avoided the crux of my post which is to say if I told you Wii U got this exact same port, being a weaker console than Switch is, would it be well recieved? Should people be claiming Nintendo has solved their third party problems despite the game being:

Overpriced.

Lacking content.

Sub par graphically.

Reduced in gameplay by 50%.

Released more than a year later.

Basically what I am saying is that the standards have changed because people actually like Switch. They adjust the narrative as things go along. Now, playing it portably is a big selling point for some people, but a lot of people on this very site argue with me every single day that this console is a home console or even a hybrid (laughable) and those same people are willing to accept games that they would never accept on Wii U

I would have been blown away by Doom on WiiU even with the shortcomings. I'd understand why considering the WiiU's limitations compared to the X1/PS4.

and are even going as far as to claim Nintendo is back with third party developers despite the same issues showing up and the number of games being significantly lower.

Same issues?... Did WiiU ever get an NBA 2k game or Fifa game or Doom 2016? There are issues, sure, seeing as how the Switch is a completely different beast than X1/PS4 but that's tech for ya: there are tradeoffs when you shrink the device to such a degree and design it to operate off of a battery.

If you don't want to say that Nintendo is back with third parties, that's fine but I feel things have certainly improved.

Wii U did get a 2K and a Fifa. It also got Batman, Darksiders, 2 CoD titles, 2 Assassins Creed titles, Ninja Gaiden 3, Zombii U, Mass Effect and a host of other third party titles. You see any of that on Switch? DOOM came out so late that it would be silly to think it would come to Wii U. However, it seems you forgot about the Wii U and its third party support. But that is OK because I did not. I suffered through that generation and the people that blasted it. I am telling you, nothing has changed, I have been here the whole way.

This is pure nonsense.

If the game is released one year later is because Switch was not in the market one year ago, that's a dumb point, same as saying the game is sub par graphically, the console its an hybrid not a normal homeconsole, of course the graphics are gonna be worse but here the game is also portable which is the whole selling point for tons of people. As for the game having reduced gameplay by 50%... what? The multiplayer (which was considered to be pretty weak everywhere) is included, you just have to download it if you want to use it, that's not reducing a game by 50% at all and honestly this comes off as extremelly nitpicky.

Games came out a year later on Wii U because the hardware didn't exist yet either (I think Watch Dogs was near a year off the top of my head). It is valid for the comparison. Nice try.

The hell? Switch is more powerful than Wii U. So, if Wii U would get blasted for this, you would think Switch would, too. That is what I call, hypocrisy.

I already addressed the power of portability but people call this a home console. As a home console (like Wii U), this should be considered unacceptable. Every issue I mentioned about this game is true and when Wii U did not have parity with other home consoles, it was destroyed even though we would both admit its hardware is less capable than Switch. Plus, this title does not even take advantage of playing the game on a television (same resolution and frame rate). That means, half of the selling point of a, "hybrid" is in jeapordy.

The game play is reduced by 50%. 60 fps to 30fps. Not the content of the title. The actual game play.

thats higher than what digital foundry predicted?

Resolution doesn't say the docked version doesnt look or perform better. Resolution is just one thing out of many options they could use the extra power for

Twitter @CyberMalistix

They are targeting 720p. Due to the dynamic resolution they will hit their target in docked mode far more often than undocked. It's exciting to see how the results are going to be once it releases.

Totaly agree.

This is quite strange and I am not sure if is most accurate, if 720p is for docked mode I can hardly see that will be same resolution for portable mode, it's possible thats 720p for docked mode and 720p dynamic for handheld. If it's really same resolution for handheld and docked mode, this definitely isn't good port.

Probably to keep framerate more stable which is what you want.
