Most of the people i work with, socialise with, who game, Wouldnt even know there was a differance between the two versions that what im trying to say.

But yeah pretty sure soon woth Xb1X there is gonna be a big differance in the two consoles. Dont mean shit though, to the average consumer playstation is where its at.

But perpetuating the whole "60fps is not important, only geeks believe that!" thing is so dumb and just because you or your friends don't get it doesn't mean the difference in quality isn't becoming more recognized. And to be clear the difference is *massive*, you can tell just by looking at the video how slow it is.

Then get it for a top end computer then. You get the best of everything except cost of the computer.

Literally read what i've said. I don't think it's bad it's 30fps on Switch. Just that the difference is there and noticable. Nothing wrong with saying "Wow Doom on Switch? Even at 30fps that's great!" That id' agree with. But saying "Meh, 30fps isn't even noticable!" Eh ... that's when I start going wut lol. And I wasn't going to buy it on Switch anyways. I have it on PC.

Most people won't give a shit about the framerate as long as its playable and fun, I have to remind again that games played on hanhelds are way more forgiving with framerates, as for the multiplayer not being on the box.... doesn't everyone says the multiplayer is shit anyways? For a handheld port Doom looks mindblowing and all previews are pretty positive.

No idea why people are saying that all the time. It has a very old school MP similar to Quake or UT (without the vehicles of course). They did a huge MP update not too long ago and it's quite fun. Also the MP has bots, which isn't too common nowadays.

Good to know then, I just remeber many reviews talking about the multiplayer being quite shitty and people all around mentioning that too, still the game was very praised and liked, but if they improved it that then great, I have no problem to download it, 9GB is a lot but at this point i think is pretty obvious if you get a Switch and you pretend to have many games on it you have to get a sd card sooner or later.

I dont mind too much that its 30 fps. As long as its a stable 30 fps like what the spokesperson said. If its dipping in the 1X's or something often...probably not. 60 fps is always better and definitely may have been possible, but wasn't expecting that without some radically visual downgrades and 30 fps version still looks pretty good in my eyes.

I'm holding off on Doom (as someone that hasn't played it) on my Gaming PC (I don't get multiplats on my PS4Pro) even though the end-price would be a lot cheaper and graphically superior. Mostly to support a third party on a Nintendo system, as well as for me portablility is more important.

So it seems like the digital foundry video was kinda true. Sometime soon it could get at 540p and 30 fps. That seems to be fine to a 6.2-7" inches tablet, but what if I want to connect it to a 55" or bigger size tv?

I know I know it's portable, but I heard many people say they will buy this version over the PS4 (1080p 60 fps)

First of all, the resolution could be dinamic(probably is).So the lowest would be 540p.Plus they are still optimizing the game and you would have pixel density to consider here.540p is not much, but on a small screen it might look just as good as 720p or 900p.

And the docked mode has extra horsepower to go around, so we could see dinamic resolution with the lowest going to 720p to 900p, which is fine.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Well, I wish that they just went with a 32GB cart then, as that would have made everything on the cart.

Could be a case of like the DS games, I know the large ones of those carts used slower memory, could be a case of wanting to use the 16gb cards for speed... or they could just be being cheap, whatever gets Doom in my switch, I don't care.

Well, I'd rather have the whole gme on one cart. But I guess it's moot since I probably would get the PS4 version over the Switch version anyway.

I am fine with what they did actually.  The online is only playable when online and while the servers are up.  With that in mind, what difference does a download for multiplayer make in the long run?  Either way, 30 years down the road the single player is going to be all you can play.

Unless you are speaking of internal storage use and trying to avoid getting an SD card.  If you don't have one, I can understand your desire as installing the game was a huge draw for physical copies.  Maybe as more people buy 3rd party games and it becomes more worth using the bigger carts with less risk, things will change in a year or so with future game.  God knows people will continue to be vocal about it so it would be a huge fan service if nothing else.

Not surprising. Still surprised that Bethesda bothered at all so picking it up.
