Forums - Nintendo - Doom for Switch will have all updates and DLC except level editor, more

We're in a world where Bethesda gives full support to a Nintendo platform and doesn't even tell fans Skyrim is a test to discern future support, mean while Capcom and EA are still in disarrays like a circus.

Not all their games are coming to the Switch but still decent support. I'm curious about the resolution though.

Hope they can make 60fps happen. That's pretty important for this game.

Nice for Switch owners. Any word on resolution and fps?

Good that it was just MP. Don't care about that mode. And it probably stop functioning at some future point. Either because Nintendo's Online service will get replaced, like Wii's. Or a Bethesda will discontinue it.

Hopefully they are not charging the full 60 for it. But its a good game anyway. MP aint that bad either, but you wont be missing much

I would give each more credit than Capcom at this point. There's fe coming soon and they even said the switch will probably get more sports titles next year.

I don't Bethesda aren't telling Switch owners that each game is a test, both Doom and Skyrim Remaster are out this holiday with Wolfenstein out next year, they've put their money where their mouth is with 3 current gen titles, Capcom so far have a rerelease of SFII HD and upscaled 3DS port of an already heavily sold game while telling people these are tests, RE is actually the first real bit of effort from Capcom. The effort is not comparable to what Bethesda is doing so far.

It is better than Capcom for sure, but i wouldnt call putting out ports of games that have been out for a while "effort"

Why wouldn't they? It's a new game, its got all the features and DLC, sans a level editor.

It was originally released a year and five months ago, so it's hardly new. It's not very old, but it's definitely not new either. Also, it's 30€ on Steam, so 60 sounds quite high on Switch. Perhaps 60 isn't unreasonable, but there's definitely enough reasons for it to not cost that much.

They're not old games and they're recent current gen multiplatform AAA games, that is effort.

Its not a new game. It been available for 3 other systems for more than a year. It doesnt even have that much DLC and you can get the game and the DLC for way less than 60 right now. And I actually want it to do well, charging full for a port will hurt its chances a bit.
