Forums - Microsoft Discussion - PUGB Fixes Water Effects thanks to Rare

PUBG has poor water effects. However the Devs behind one of the best selling games this year have gotten tips from Rare.

http://au.ign.com/articles/2017/09/08/sea-of-thieves-is-sharing-its-amazing-water-tech-with-playerunknowns-battlegrounds

*PUBG's creator Brendan Greene revealed that the popular online battle royale game will now be using Rare's "great water tech" in Sea of Thieves, thanks to Bluehole Inc.'s partnership with Microsoft to publish the game on Xbox One.*

"[Rare] said they loved the game, they play it a lot, but, 'Oh, you're [sic] water.' I mean, our water is not very good, but Rare has great water tech. They said, 'We should share some knowledge.' That's a great thing about being part of a network of studios," Greene said. "We can get that water tech, essentially for free, and we can share stuff with them.

"That's just invaluable, because their water is great. Having that would really finish off our world nicely."

Good news for gamers and ill be picking PUGB up very soon. Looks like alot of fun.

Bet Shiken that COD would outsell Battlefield in 2018. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=8749702

As many great Nintendo games demonstrated, you can never have too much water.

Glad to see Rare carry on the tradition.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

"nice water"-Miiverse Guy.

Now to make the rest of the game look good...

Yet, the uproar over IGN will never fully disappear xD

This is a super awesome story, I wish more industries all over the world engaged in more collaboration like this. Even little tips and tricks can make all the difference.
