Forums - Politics Discussion - Trump has decided to end DACA

Fox News isn't "just reporting". They lie and exaggerate for their own agenda. They might tell the truth sometimes but that's no reason to believe them. They call refugees terrorists when that's just wrong. They're terrorists pretending to be refugees. Letting in refugees is not increasing the number of terrorists as Germany's borders were always open to everyone. No one has ever stopped terrorists coming into this country so pretending as if the terrorist threat is increased with refugees coming into the country is just plain wrong. It's the exact same as it was always.

Germany is fine and the fear mongering of the far right won't change that. I don't enjoy people flooding Germany but trying to take on the impossible task of stopping it is just plain stupid.

After a surge of the far right to almost political power it is already dying again and Merkel and her pro immigration policy is as popular as ever.

Why are you laying blame on Fox News? Why not question the German feds? Fox News doesn't really have much to win over fabricating news about Germany. About Russia and Syria, sure. Britain, maybe. But Germany? Thats a stretch. And while I think every news outlet should always be questioned, one have to be careful not to fall to the other extreme and pretend they are cartoony villains.

The way this article is presented is very convincing and if it was a lie, then the ball has been in the Germans feds court for months now. They haven't made any attempt to "expose" Fox News on this. So maybe, there is nothing to expose them on, in this case.

All I can say on the subject is Trump is a shitty human being that was elected by who I consider horrible people, and I cannot wait until he is out of office for the many things he does, as he is, in my opinion, the antithesis of what it means to be American.

I'll admit, I thought Trump getting elected would be pretty funny.

It's not.

Shamefully, same here.

I was once one of those children. Sucks because they did not chose that life. America was kind to me and I intend to continue to pay the country back until I die. Sad to hear other people will not be granted the same opportunities I was granted.

Well, several Republicans spoke out against killing DACA, so there is a good chance it will be saved. I mean, even McCain found it in his heart to actually vote against a gop plan he verbally opposed before after decades of flip-flopping when it came to voting.

NOTE:

The report states that there will be a delay in the implementation of the enforcement therein for a period of six months allowing congress to debate legislative action prior to DACA designees receiving deportation notices.

"In a nod to reservations held by many lawmakers, the White House plans to delay the enforcement of the president’s decision for six months, giving Congress a window to act, according to one White House official. "

Because Fox News has a justified reputation of constantly lying and being in the pocket of far right organizations? Fox News has a lot to win by scaring people over refugees. It ties perfectly into their own agenda of refugees and immigrants to the US. It's the perfect piece by showing how terrible it is in other countries. You should really educate yourself about Fox News. It's a cess pool of lies and fear mongering. I trust fucking Breitbart over Fox News.

When you claim yourself to be a news organization and 60% of your shit is mostly or completely false you should not be trusted with anything.

I have read the article and it's mostly lies, exaggeration and information completely out of context specifically designed to scare people. As usual from Fox News. They blow everything out of proportion. And the article also offers no solution for this "problem". They quote multiple random organizations or people and claim those have any kind of authority on the matter. Of course the article sounds convincing if you don't know the actual situation. That's what propaganda is designed to do.

Here is a fact for you. Nobody in Germany likes being swarmed by immigrants but still the majority recognizes that there is no point in stopping them and that accepting them here has overall no significant downsides. Germany isn't North Korea and Germany does not want to become North Korea by completely isolating itself.

The current situation in Germany despite hundreds of thousands of new immigrants and recent terror attacks is absolutely relaxed. An influx of immigrants is simply no concern for the vast majority of Germans. We had that for decades. It's a strong country with strong security and the lack of significant terror attacks despite a significant amount of immigrants shows this. But that of course is something Fox News or any other garbage right wing propaganda piece won't tell.

Why should I worry about a thing that I and the majority of my countrymen don't worry about?

Everyone has an agenda vivster. I prefer to aproach all news outlets, not with a definitive yes or not, but with a maybe.

I was morbidly curious as well. And now I wish it had remained a morbid curiosity. If he had decency at all, like admitting when he was wrong I wouldn't have as many issues with him. I just don't understand these self inflicted injuries he keeps causing himself. The dude would not be hated nearly as much if he just shut up and let his fucking PR talk for him

Keep in mind, I'm not referring to all of his voters. There are those whom I know personally who voted for who I harbor no ill-will towards. Both in my real life and online, including some individuals here. The post mostly in reference to those such as the Nazi's and KKK whom Trump refuses to attack. Because he knows every vote counts, and with as many bridges he keeps burning, he cannot afford to lose them. Of course, I do not think he is racist. But he is ableist, which I consider as bad
