This isn't a controversial opinion at all. Platinum is actually one of the most liked Pokemon games. Personally, it's my favorite.

Well shit, I got a lot. 

Pokemon Sun/Moon, while a great improvement in certain specific aspects, are horribly boring compared to... evey other Pokemon game of the main line... literally, every single one :v

Halo, Gears of Wars and Forza have become cliche franchises that offer nothing new and that has killed the Xone because no one buys it for Ori (which they should, its literraly MUCH better than every other game the xbox one has to offer)

Incidentally, Resistance-while being nothing amazing- was better than Gears of Wars. 

Assassin's Creed has ALWAYS been a mediocre franchise, people simply are catching up to... common sense :v

FIFA and NFL games are good, if your are not interested in the sport, then who are you to judge? You are not the market. 

Super Mario 64 has aged like shit. Most N64 have aged like shit, but this is particularly noticeable with SM64. 

FF10 is shitty. Now, this is not an unpopular/controversial gaming opinion outside in the real world, but in this particular forum i've literally read people call FF10 "the best Final Fantasy ever" I can only feel sorry for those lost souls who I suppose are just kids :v

BOTW is good. No, literraly thats it. BOTW is good. Somehow thats controversial for some people, not calling... "perfect" :V. Incidentally, A link to the past, Majora and OOT are better. Maybe even TP, the jury is out on that one. 

Nintendo is awesome. Just saying

Sonic sux. Sonic in general. The best Sonic game in history is boring. 

Oblivion and Morrowing are horribly overrated in the same way Baldur's Gate was. Those are GOOD games, but niche games. The instant Elder Scrolls changed to appeal the masses (Skyrim) everything improved for the franchise in every way, and we may only have more of it because of that, but I guess people are just incapable of... I dunno, noticing the obvious?

Street Fighter 2 is/was not that memorable.

Following the last opinon - The game that did it first should not get as much praise as the game that did it best. This reffering to mechanics and gameplay.

RE4 killed the franchise. Just saying, from RE4 forward its just not horror... its just meh.  

Splatoon is boring. Havent played Splatoon 2 tbh, but Splatoon is just boring. Or perhaps im old (has to do with it I guess) but I felt meh when Splatoon came out and I have been trying to give it a chance... and just meh. 

Xmen 2 is a mediocre film. I have no idea how a lot of people consider it good. Its literally a formula film, theres nothing unexpected or original about it. I mean, its not bad like Xmen3 is bad, but its just... mediocre. 

And so on...

It's a tie if you ignore context - Sony winning 3 of the last 4 generations and not by a small margin) is also a fact.

And handhelds have always been secondary - you yourself aren't taking handhelds in consideration when saying Sony won 3 generations. And the numbers do back the fact that dedicated handheld devices are dropping in favour.

Nintendo has been dominant until Sony came in the market - your line about feelings and history applies to you here as well.

Being the underdog has really forced the Xbox brand to be more pro-consumer. Backtracking on b/c, backtracking on crossplay (thank you Nintendo for working with Microsoft), gamepass service, EA Access, ect. Yes, we do have an exclusive problem, but there are benefits to owning a console from the underdog brand.

Uncharted is an overrated chore of a "game".

...minus some parts of Uncharted 3.

VR is the future of gaming.
4K adds nothing to games.
Switch is a step backwards from WiiU.
