You're saying that the Virtual Boy is the most overrated?

Beyond the Beyond was a good RPG. I not saying it was great but it was the first RPG I played on the original PlayStation and had a lot of fun playing it. I might even consider buying a switch if Camelot decided to make a squeal (which will probably never happen).

Final Fantasy X was a horrible FF game and a massive change in the wrong direction for the series. The voice acting was cringe worthy. The story made absolutely no sense. The gameplay was linear as a one way hallway. There was no real way to build your party, since your party composition changes every five minutes for the sake of the story. It's impossible to grind in the game, or do anything on your own. The entire game holds your hand and refuses to let you explore or do anything at your own pace.

Skyward Sword was a bad Zelda in every way. Like FF X it had zero exploration. It also had pointless padding, unneeded motion controls, and the most annoying sidekick in a videogame ever.

Gears of War has always been a terrible franchise. I still remember picking up the first one and seeing how awful the net code was. The host advantage was unreal. Online sessions consisted of everybody using the shotgun, and jumping around like mad. The single player was a short and boring ten hour ordeal, with lifeless stereotypical characters.

The PS4's library is vastly superior to PC.

Backwards compatibility doesn't make a library good.

Modern day graphical improvements are a joke.

A game with a metascore below 75/100 isn't worth anybody's time or money.

A lot of AAA efforts by big companies like Ubisoft, Activision, EA aren't worth getting hyped over. See my sig.

Wow, guys, its a thread about unpopular opinions, of course there is going to be stuff in here you disagree with. Why in heavens name are you arguing with each other.

- Black Ops 1 is the best call of duty
- I prefer digital downloads to physical discs
- Multiplayer only games are perfectly fine. We have had years and years of Single Player only games, and just now we are starting to get MP only games and everyone loses their minds
- DLC is perfectly fine. Everyone complains about the games being released 'incomplete', but I think the alternative is that games will 1) Take even longer to make, and 2) Will release for $100

Platinums: Red Dead Redemption, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Terminator Salvation, Uncharted 1, inFamous Second Son, Rocket League

But don't you think you're placing an over-reliance on what critics think with that kind of mentality?

No. I used to play games of that caliber back when I was a one console guy during the Genesis, N64, and early Gamecube days. Once I turned 18 I was finally able to afford my own game systems. When you have access to every game on every platform, it really opens your eyes to what you've been missing. I never understood the review scores for games like DBZ Budokai back in the GameCube days. Going back and playing it now, I see how button mashy it is.

Basically if you think games of that caliber are worth owning you are either a huge fan of the genre that, that game is from, or you don't own enough systems/games.

And of course I do actually read/watch reviews. Destructoid and Easy Allies can really convince me to get a game despite the metascore, but I've never seen them go against the rest of the critics so heavily as to recommend something that low. Easy Allies is probably the most trusted review source on the net right now. They made top four in Opencritic's ranking of trusted reviewers, based on Opencritic's personalization tab.

I know right? With a little bit of division, you can get two copies of V! How great is that!?

I'm still at the very beginning of V myself.

Nintendo should go 3rd party. I bought a switch recently and, while the controller setup is neat and all. I would rather not spend the 300 dollars on an extra system and instead just play their games on the ps4 with better graphics.. Especially considering how little content it churns out compared to the competition.. If nintendo went 3rd party the consumers win as many other people get to play their games and nintendo fans would get to play their games.. In actuality I think that Nintendo itself would gain from it aswell as the new potential consumers would offset the revenue loss from their hardware.
