I don't blame him for being very protective over his artwork. The man makes gold.

Sorry, I was confused, I thought you meant the OP.

Woops lol

I didn't and don't care about that. I care about what crap Nintendo is pulling here.

I assume he doesn't, since he doesn't even like people swearing in his threads

I actually thought the art was a little overdoing it, but I had no idea that it was from a porn artist. Your assessment is correct.

If you go offline, I know enough.

This is my last post I swear btw. Didn't want to hijack the thread, so sorry about that.

In order to play the hardest game mode (Fusion Mode) you must buy an amiibo to unlock it! What?!

I mean why are you complaining now? The first ammibo game, Smash Brothers, locked the AI training mode behind amiibo too, even though technicalyl you wouldnt actually need an amiibo to store some save file for your AI (as novel as it is).

Nintendo has been locking stuff in their games behind amiibo since the start.

I think this is the worst case. At least that I know of.

Now what is a grown man going to do with this toy? Am I supposed to run around with it and say "pow" "pow"?

That sounds about right.  If you do so, please post a video.

Developers and Publishers are for-profit companies. They exist to create shareholder value. I don't have a problem with them locking stuff behind amiibo per se, but I will likely choose not to buy games that hide content I care about behind a paywall.

Ever heard about collectables? You know usually people with a certain age keep these things stored bc it holds some sentimental or monetary value.

The amiibos are not even articulated. It's not practical for a kid to play like an action figure doll LOL.

Ow, are you saying that Nintendo is a company that wants money? OMG, I thought they were angels that are enough satisfied with only our smiles while playing their games.

This thread will be more funny if we later discover that we can have access to the fusion mode with in game achievements.

We reap what we sow

I thought I read an article recently that said that hard mode was unlockable once you beat the game as well?

But whatever. THis has become obvious since the Amiibo became a success. Just pirate them imo. You know, buy like a 100 nfc tags on amazon for pennies on the dollar. then download the codes online for whatever amiibo dlc you want and do it that way.

Normally I'm 100% against pirating, but these Amiibo are annoying. It wouldn't be as annoying if they made what they unlock dlc one can buy through the game as well. But nope. So you need to find something hard to find, probably pay double the price for it. And then you are also stuck with a phsyical object. Yes the amiibo can look cool, but not everyoen wants to have 100 figurines in tehir house.

You can't even just pay for DLC (which is absurd to have to do in itself). You must buy a kids toy to unlock the game's best mode! Now what is a grown man going to do with this toy? Am I supposed to run around with it and say "pow" "pow"? No, I'd just throw it in the trash. What a waste! As a long time Metroid fan going back to the 90s, I was very excited about Metroid: Samus Returns, but now I just feel insulted.

Video games are for kids. Do you run about with your 3ds going pow pow?

Rated for 10 year olds to play it, you are already 34 years out of the target demo of the game, if you are happy to buy a product made for a 10 year old then you should have no shame about buying an accessory designed for a 10 year old to use with that game.
