NBA 2K should do the same. EA has been pretty good at adding women to their sport games, first FIFA now NBA Live
Well, they look like men so that is spot on accurate. Kinda boggles the mind that it took certain sport games to FINALLY have playable women and then they go around like their the dalai goddamn lama.

I know this is supposed to look like girl power but face it. WNBA people forget even exists and EA NBA games need some kinda hook to compete with 2k18. They know a WNBA game on its own would be a joke and never sell.

One person more buys NBA live and no person buys WNBA Live. That's a straight $60 profit for EA.

Older NBA Live games were worse than NBA 2K games imo but NBALIVE 15 and 16 stepped their game up a lot and i perfer the NBA Live gameplay more than 2Ks gameplays now. Also NBA Live 18 is adding a new Park mode which has more features than NBA 2Ks park mode. The only advamtage id say 2K has now is the career story mode which is could see NBA Live 19 having since FIFA and Madden now have one.
Yeah... pretty sure 0.1% of the population is going to play with WNBA teams. Another empty, token gesture made by a conglomerate company to try to sway public opinion. Not impressed.

It's probably because the WNBA isn't popular at all and would have folded a while ago if it wasn't getting propped up by the NBA.
