Leo-j, the casuals will not be flocking towards the PS3.
1) There are no games that casuals will want. According to Gamerankings, the only casual games that are decent are Rock Band and Guitar Hero. And Rock Band's price isn't so casual. With the addition of LBP, I doubt there will be too many games they'll want to play. Check if you want to prove me wrong.

2) Price does not influence decision greatly enough to motivate people to buy a new console. It has been proven in the history books that even though a console is cheaper it does not mean it will win. Case and point, The Gamecube. The Gamecube was cheaper than the PS2, but did that help it win? No, it didn't? Well all the great games MUST HAVE made it won? No? Do you see parallels between the two generations? Also, the 360 is close to the price of the Wii, and is the lowest selling console. If people don't wat a console, price won't change their mind.
3) If the PS3 did get new buyers, the Wii could steal them back. The PS3 has exhausted many of its trump cards. Price drops, new colors, bundles, "AAA" games, and new controllers. With all of this, it did not manage to pass the Wii. If the PS3 did manage to steal Wii buyers, they could create a "Casual Bundle." WiiSports, WiiPlay, and WiiFit + the Wii for 300$. They could release new colors, red, blue, green, and they could drop the price. A price drop won't affect profits significantly enough to make an impact on their finances, but it will bolster sales.
I want a well-thought out and convincing argument that retracts all of these reasons leo-j. I do not want a fanboy answer like "Wii doesn't have games" or "NO 3RD PARTY!!!". I want reasons and support.
