Rayman Legends for Wii U is one of the best platformers ever made. If it is identical to the Wii U version, that's great news! I highly recommend it to anyone.
Game is beautiful but never been a hardware pusher. More ports to fill the switch library. Ubisoft did the same with Wii U then when people didn't buy their 3 yr old port they used it as an excuse to stop.

well it's not a very spec heavy game is probably why it looks identical on everything. But I agree it looks nice. Kind of like Cave Story on the Switch; looks the same as it did years ago but kind of ageless because of solid art direction (granted maybe the same could be said about a lot of games that value solid creativeness and simplicity)
I've been on the fence with this game for a while. Played it on a buddy's PS4, and really liked it, but never cared enough to get it. If the Switch version is priced right, I might pick it up here for the portability factor.
...maybe.

yeah there is nothing to improve as the older versions already ran at 1080p 60FPS.
One less reason for the 20th port of this game after 4 years (!) since launch. Where's the new Rayman game?
Why should it look any diffrent?
It was created using the UBI Arts engine wich is specialized for hand drawn 2D games, with small 3D areas+real time lighting.
It was made specifically with the goal in mind to look like a PIANTING in every frame. And it does. And it did on the WiiU.
Ergo more hosepower should have zero effect on it. It wasn't restricted in the first place.
