This is very sad news, the fact he leave behind children is more shocking. His issues must have been deeper than people could have ever imagined.
Hmm, pie.

I still can't believe it.
His voice is such a big part of my childhood.
R.I.P Chester, may you find redemption in heaven.
Heard the news over the radio yesterday and it felt so surreal that it happened. Never would I have imagined this would happen to a member of Linkin Park, much less Chester himself. It is unfortunate he decided to go that route, but I genuinely hope Chester Bennington can Rest in Peace.

I might well check it out as most of the VGchart recommendations have gone fairly well for me, will give it a listen and see what I make of it. And of course, I've been to fairly bad places in the past, but would never consider this simply because I wouldn't do something like that to my family and friends... ever, to leave them alone thinking that they might in some way have been at fault for not stopping you doing the act, but yeah... like you said, it's never a simple thing when someone takes their own life. |
You might not like the album I am referring to either (the song I posted above is taken from that album), what I kind of want to say is Linkin Park is a band that write their own music, most of their albums don't have the same sound and they continuously try to make something different, so it's unfair to describe their work "manufactured", in my opinion.
I don't like most of their material but I'd say it's because their songs are uninteresting rather than manufactured.

Well for those struggling with depression i hope they get help and can feel better. To them this is a big loss and it sucks that it makes them feel worse but if the guy killed himself theres probably a good reason and im happy for him that if he was suffering he did what he felt he had to. Still sucks for those affected.
Well excuse me for sharing an opinion. |
Depression to the point of suicide is generally never an idea they would make. Extreme depression is literally a mental illness. Please think before posting

Why should they have to struggle with extreme depression when they can end their life? He still had the choice to live or end it and I support what ever choice he made. If he wanted to die then I'm happy for him.
Dammit, I got bummed about Chester all over again when I went to my room and saw my old Linkin Park poster on my wall, realizing I've been sleeping pretty much directly under his photo for like the past 15 years. Creeps me out a bit..

Yeah its quite clear the band had a ton of fans.
Not very hard core fans but numb and in the end are classics

Depression is not something you fucking choose to have! It's not like you are going to kill yourself just for the fun of it. Show some respect towards the people who love him and lost him.
