Forums - Gaming - Your most regretful Season Pass

I was playing Fallout 4 for a few weeks and bought the season pass, thinking that I would play the dlc but I ended up not playing much longer. I only played a bit of one of the dlcs. It just wasn't worth it in hindsight. Normally, I don't buy them though.

Titanfall. Didn't play it long enough to even use it.

I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.

I don't buy season passes because I don't throw my money at promises. Though I might buy the DLC eventually if it's something that appeals to my tastes.

I bought The Arkham Knight with the season pass for 18$ when it would have cost 100$ on launch. So I technically bought a superior product by just waiting because the price for the full experience was intimidating.

.- -... -.-. -..

I've only ever bought Mario Kart 8's, BotW's, and Fallout 4's. Mario Kart turned out amazing. Zelda we'll see, but the first pack has been really decent.

Fallout 4 was garbage. I only got it because the expansions for the previous Bethesda games had been great, so I thought they'd do it again. Two settlement building packs I didn't touch or want. One real expansion that played awful because of the fog effects. And the rest was lame. I'll never buy a Season Pass from Bethesda again.

None since i dont buy season passess, (wait now that i remember i bought the season pass with all the DLC for Disgaea 5 but that was when all the DLC was released so i knew what i was buying, so obviously no regrets there).

I've never bought a season pass and never will. Buying one essentially means you're paying for the promise of content that doesn't even exist yet, has no guarantee of actually being good, and in the worst case scenario may never be made if the base game fails to sell well enough. Just no reason to ever buy season passes whatsoever.

You could buy the season pass after all the DLC has already released. It's still chaper than buying the DLC individually and you are no longer paying for content that doesn't yet exist.

I very rarely buy DLC in general, and when I do it's usually when I buy an edition of a game that comes with all the DLC included (Dark Souls II and Bloodborne for example). If I recall correctly, over the last 5 or so years I think I've bought maybe three or four storyline DLC packs for a couple of games, and in almost every case It's been on a discount.

Never bought a season pass. Closest I came was Borderlands 2 but decided against it after my cousin wasn't exactly singing high praises to the expansions.

And then it all became free!

I buy lots of season passes but I can't remember being disappointed. Well I did advice my friends not to buy the bullshit season pass for Gears of War 4, it really isn't worth the price tag. I don't regret buying it myself because I wanted to play the game early.
