Xbox.

Don't know a single Dreamcast game, which is probably a good sign that I'd consider it a terrible console so... yeah, that was never in the running

Gamecube had TimeSplitters, but it didn't have Star Wars Battlefront, GTA or KOTOR while Xbox did, so Xbox takes the cake!

Shenmue, Powerstone, Soul Calibur, Crazy Taxi, Phantasy Star, last good 3d sonic games :P and ofc Headhunter and many more, dreamcast was so great!
I think Xbox was #1 for me also, altough I voted dreamcast, but it was more because the console lasted longer.

The Dreamcast had the best 2 years of gaming ever for me where xbox had more but it was spread over double the time, but KOTOR, Jade Empire and Morrowind where something special.

That gen, I had a PS2, a GameCube, and a Dreamcast. I easily had the most games on PS2 and Nintendo will always be my favorite company overall but I have the fondest memories of the Dreamcast. Before I got a Dreamcast, I despised Sega!

Xbox. Played so many great games and it made me a console gamer. Rest were meh.

GameCube because of its library!

Switch!!!

Glad I'm not the only one that feels this way. Coming after the N64, GCN was a real letdown for me; several of their flagship first party franchises nosedived in quality, while the decline and subsequent absence of Rare left a gaping hole. To go from Starfox 64 to Adventures, Mario 64 to Sunshine, and Ocarina of Time to Wind Waker was a bitter experience.

Yep, exactly that. I experienced similar disappointment and thoughts. I doubt we're alone. Personally I'd even include Mario Kart in that list, but that's probably an unpopular opinion, and I admit there was a different family-situation surrounding Mario Kart 64, which gives me a bias towards the 64 game.

GCN had much more worth while third party support than N64 though (Symphonia, RE4, Baten Kaitos, Timesplitters, REmake, RE0 etc...) and the are superior additions in other games like Paper Mario:TTYD, Animal Crossing, Melee, F-Zero, Metroid Prime etc... as well as additions like Pikmin

Imo if you look at both N64 and GCN overall the latter was better the former just has the luxury of having a ground breaking position which helps elevate its status.

I owned all 3 systems and the Gamecube was the worst console ever made until the Wii-U arrived. The Gamecube had a horrible, unprecise gamepad and not a single game worth playing.

The Xbox had some amazing console exclusives as many pointed out, but I played many of them on my PC. With the GC I did not have that option, so I would go with the GC. I also think it was the best looking system out there, but I guess Im in the minority here.

The DC on the other hand is dead last. It simply did not have enough time to have a big enough library for me, and even if it got some amazing titles, at the end of the day it comes in dead last IMO.

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

Since I had a PS2 than I'd choose Gamecube because of all the Nintendo games, MGS Twins Snake and Resident Evil games.  And all the Dreamcast games I loved were mostly on the PS2 as well.

But if I didnt have a PS2 and had to choose between the others, I may choose the Dreamcast because I loved RE Code Veronica, Marvel vs Capcom 2, Rival School and Dino Crisis. Capcom games where better on Dreamcast than on Gamecube, but that was went Capcom was hot too.

PS2 at the top but If I have to choose of the three you mentioned in the op, I'd definitely choose the Gamecube.

Only had a GC but played both (Dreamcast more). Obviously I'll go with GC but all consoles had an impact on gaming in their own way.
