Forums - Microsoft - MS responds about lack of AAA exclusives at E3

Glad to hear they only show games that are playable soon. Showing games that are more than 2 years away isnt worth it. Xbox killed it with variety at 2017 E3. Alot to play if your a PC and Xbox gamer from now and next E3.
Good to see MS avoiding the haters now, and just doing there own things.

Most of the games Microsoft showed are showing up next year around the same time as Sony. The aaa games Sony showed at e3 are dropping in 2018. I'm guessing the reason Sony held back on the other reveals was to show more for 2019, which will be sucker punches game last of us 2 and something else in 2019. Luckily unlike Microsoft you can trust sonys internal development.

The Greenberger is right. They show AAA exclusives games to Windows 10, xbox, that is not on steam, MS has games for this year that was on E3 when Sony has games that is for this year on pre E3 show. So is good that MS guys tell that all the time, is a moment that make them to look special!
Is happen all the time, when you have so many AAA games and you show everything that is blockbaster, people to want more games that have variety and diversity. I mean people forget so quick when they see so many games that forget those MS games has that elements. Dumb people !
Gears of war team going forward with Gears or new ip that wll be exclusive on windows 10 xbox no for steam Halo 7 forza 4 for 2018 not on steam
So what else do you want to tell you? we dont have exclusive for the xbox we skip consoles if (xboxxx not sell good) and we fight the steam now because there is the money?

Exclusivity on a PC is meaningless since it's open platform. Steam is just a primary representative out of many hubs. To separate it from steam means nothing. This is why people make consoles... so you can differentiate. This goes for Sony games as well that are on PC . It's neutral territory.

Why didn't he come up with the same excuse as Phillyboy?

"We Have Just Signed Exclusives That Won’t Be Ready for 2-3 Years, No Point in Showing Them"

At least it sounds a little bit more reasonable. Although... does that mean there won't be anything semi-exclusive - not to speak of total exclusive - for the next 2-3 years except for the games that where shown 2-3 years ago and were already revealed?

Also begs the question, ready to be revealed or released in 2-3 years? It would be a relatively short development period... definitely not AAA development...

Hilarious irony, for years they present games that weren't ready for years to come. Hardware launch end of 2017, and they practice restraint. Mh, their impotence amazes me once more.

Let's try to drop the Sony vs Microsoft talk. Some of you are getting a bit testy, so keep the conversation on Aaron Greenberg's comments. Thanks.

Well, he does seem to have his head in the sand. MS has a great lineup but they can be incredibly stubborn sometimes in terms of listening to the fans. I don´t care if they have the most exclusives, but they are crappy at getting all their studios to work with new IPs alongside existing ones. I love the idea of a new Halo, Gears or Forza, but they should try their wings a little more, atleast Sony and Nintendo are bigger risk takers in this regard.

What's funny is Cuphead isn't even an Xbox One/Windows Store exclusive, it's also on Steam, so outside of Microsoft's eco-system.

Greenberg is really something.

You know MS make money on Cuphead being brought on Steam right? You know its also MS decision to allow it on Steam.

What about Console only gamers who dont own a PC and dont want a PC. What console does a console gamer buy to play Cuphead?

Exactly.

I mean, its not like they can get their hands on Starcraft or anything. LOL Steam is the primary representative for PC gaming, so a Steambox would be the most accurate choice even though it wasnt the most successful. I think Microsoft wants to accomplish what Steam has accomplished on PC, but they have to excel in one place (which tthey haven't) before they spread themselves too thin.
