In defence of Curl I agree with him nothing against trans people btw but considering the already turbulent time women have in Hollywood with roles this could be problematic going forward not because of the bigoted clowns from the extreme right but because of potential controversies like what we see in sports. Media at least has the option of avoiding or mitigating such controversies by creating ground up characters for trans actors but this is a topic that requires careful articulation.

Depending on which incarnation that could work although Impa funny enough is multiethnic across her incarnations, Hunter does look like TP's Zelda although I'm not a fan of that incarnation and consider her one of the worst incarnations tbh. That said however I think she would do a good OOT Zelda because of the twist, yes I still won't spoil it despite it being nearly 30 years on it's still one of the best twists because it changes the dynamic of the character.

If they base her off Ocarina of Time Zelda then it would work.

No need to wonder since it will never happen. Nintendo is a very traditional company in several ways. They would not cast her in a million years. Sony might if they had the rights alone, but they dont.
