First S+ mode reached! However it's pretty lonely here, though I suppose that's fitting. Searched for like 10 minutes and not a single soul showed up. =/

Oh wow! Congrats!

S rank matches finally became possible yesterday, but only barely. Was playing against the same people over n over which is kinda fun in a way, but also unfortunate, cause once someone decides to stop playing, that means we all have to stop playing lel. I'm sure this wouldn't be an issue with worldwide matchmaking over regional, but eh it'll get better over time. Yal need to hurry up and rank up so I can actually play the game!

Same thing happened to me. I got a notification thats says something like "since theres less players online, the amount of percentage you loose will be reduced".

....Wow Nintendo never cease to amaze me with some of their decisions

I guess it's because of this thing that Splatoon is meant to be a sort of event-based game, what with the daily items on clothing shops, 2-hour map/mode rotations, Splatfests and what not... but this is just taking it way too far.

......So they hope our free time lines up with the 12 hours of the day it is available? I got on today with the sole intent of playing more Salmon run. Pretty dickheaded move by Nintendo here

Edit: I just checked the stages option in the menu and well if I am reading what I'm seeing correctly I won't be able to play Salmon run until the 28th .seriously wtf Nintendo

The bar never goes down. If it cracks all the way, then you lose all your progress toward the next rank. If you haven't even passed the OK mark, then you go down a rank.

EDIT: Also, I think if you fill the bar without any cracks, you go up two ranks at once.

Not all your progress, just up to the OK mark, but otherwise yeah that's how it works. The multiple rank up is definitely a good idea to quickly get the veterans away from the beginners.

Oh that's good, help keep players up in the ranks until there's enough to find matches easily.

That's encouraging to hear, as I'll probably be playing Splatoon 2 for the most part. Is it longer than the original SP campaign or about the same length?

I believe it's the same amount of levels, but I felt like it was slightly longer (probably because there's considerably less multiplayer stage levels than before). I also agree on the campaign being better than the first game's, actually I'd say it's a whole lot better, it isn't even comparable. Splatoon 1's campaign was pretty straightforward and basic really, this one pushes you to do a lot of creative things, use all your weapons and there's a lot of really cool mechanics everywhere... plus even the overworld is a joy to explore, moreso than before. (edit: oh and the bosses are also far better this time around - I was especially impressed with the 4th one.)

Sounds good to me! As someone who doesn't do online multiplayer, I'll be buying Splatoon 2 solely for the campaign, and I thoroughly enjoyed the first game's, so if it's even better this time around, I'll be happy as a squid in ink.

Is there a point in using the gear with only one skill?
Or should I aim to find those with 3 slots?

Yeah its good to find the 3 slots. Upgrading to add a slot wil cost a lot of money.

But if you have a gear that have good Main Slot + 2 Mini Slots (then I would upgrade it to get the 3rd mini slot) <----- Not sure what lvl you can do this. Im currently 19.

An interesting look at the origins of the Game Boy Advance from Did You Know Gaming:

Finally got the .52 Gal, and holy hell it's as broken as I remembered.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
