If the S2 keeps up this momentum it would easily be Nintendo's best platform period taking over from S1, the is such a huge back log on S2 at only a year and a half in and mind you we have releases all the way to April and for Year 3 of the S2 we already know Pokemon and Xenoblade Genesis are waiting. It's hard to think of any prior platform in general having a first three years like this.

For all the criticism people had of it’s 2025 library, I do agree that Switch 2 is undeniably on pace to have an absolutely jam-packed library if software keeps coming as it is. Not only first-party wise, but third-party as well. DKBananza, MKWorld, OoT Remake, Star Fox Remake, Kirby and the World Beyond, Xeno Genesis, Pokopia, Air Riders, Yoshi & the Mysterious Book, and so on. All within just over 14-20 months of launch. Absolutely stacked!

2027 even starts with Metroid Ravenous and Tomb Raider so right out the gate the library is running.

Yeah if it keeps going the way it's going, S2 might well surpass Switch 1 for me, which is saying a lot as the S1 is my second favourite console of all time.

The combination of Nintendo's own games with the best third party support they've had since the SNES is paying dividends.
