Pre-ordering the physical as soon as this becomes available!

That is amazing news! Thanks for the heads up. That's an easy day one purchase :)

Didn't realize in time for when I initially posted, but pre-orders for the physical are available now on the Nintendo Store. So I got mine in!

Also, I'm ready to spend another hundred hours in Pokopia with that expansion pass lol

Preordered mine! Thanks again.

And, yeah, there is no end in sight for Pokopia. I feel like I’ll be playing it all generation.

Quite a bit to unpack but the abridged version is that direct was solid and now by default the S2 has a better second year than its predecessor, first S1 had the Trinity blow of BOTW, SMO and XBC2 to still have an argument for Year 1 but Year 2 it's not even close and we've only just started it, OOT Remake with in the first year and a half, FE, XBG, Star Fox, Splatoon so far alongside solid third party support. I made the point back in February that S2 feels more like it's handled as a consumer's primary platform rather than just a vehicle for first party and the second year line up highlights this point and mind you the third year line up already has mainline Pokemon locked in for it.

KH4 is also not what surprised me the most no what surprised me is how after 4 years it was chosen to be given an update in an ND.

S2 games that were announced prior to the ND.

Almost like a Pre-Direct

Seems that Xenoblade leak in January was somewhat legit despite some details being off the characters in the leak are too much alike to those in the trailer to be a coincidence or guess, the details not matching the setting may be down to the material possibly being from an early concept.

It's crazy seeing Capcom going all in on properly supporting Switch 2!

Street Fighter 6
Monster Hunter Stories 2
Resident Evil Requiem
Pragmata
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess
Mega Man: Dual Override
Resident Evil 7&8

On top of those listed here

Hmm… I keep going back on forth on how I feel about this latest Direct. I mean, all that matters is that I came out very pleased with everything. I literally mentioned a few weeks ago how Xeno Trilogy was top of the list for NS2Editions, I had expected Fitness Boxing 3 to be the sports game Nate was talking about, and was only expecting a one-to-one recreation of OoT… and Nintendo completely blew my expectations outta the water! I was hollering throughout the Direct, and was easily one of the most fun Directs I’ve ever watched. And not only that, it was packed to the brim with major reveals for Switch 2 owners.

…but there was only like four first-party reveals: An NS2 Edition Trilogy, Xeno 4, Switch Sports Resort, and Ocarina. And I’m not even planning on getting Switch Sports as that looks like more of the same from the OG Switch Sports. All of the third-parties, I already have on PC or PS5. Deltarune, KH4, and the many major indie reveals were a pleasant surprise, but I’m likely not gonna be playing those.

How are you guys feeling? In any case, I am happy with the presentation but mixed on how good it really was… as weird as that might sound lol. Plus knowing that Pikmin 4 NS2 Edition is on the horizon makes me go crazy with excitement!! Ahh Pikmin 4 is so darn good!
