Yeah while Switch 1's 2017 was legendary, the upshot of frontloading their first year was that 2018 was weak.

Switch 2's 2026 is looking far stronger, and there's likely still a ton of stuff coming this year we don't know about yet.

Sooo... what do you guys think of my new look? Gone are the days of Majora's Mask Link... it's been two years with that pfp, but having only played like five Zelda games — despite it being my favorite franchise — and having 100% played through every Mario game at least two or three times (excluding 2D entries), Mario Odyssey sits as my third favorite game of all time (only behind TotK/BotW) so what better a change than to bring the big M for my picture?

(I also am very eagerly awaiting Holiday 2027... ooh I cannot wait for the next 3D Mario. Gonna pour at least a hundred hours into that game within the first couple of months... I plan big blocks of time to game for mega releases like this; e.g. 395 hours in TotK between May 12th 2023 and October 13th 2023.)

Oh, and Mario being in such an exasperated state is to showcase how exhausted I am waiting for 3D Mario's triumphant return... I don't think you realize how hard its been waiting so long for a new entry. Odyssey is the only 3D Mario game I ever have witnessed the launch of. Heck, Mario Odyssey is what sold me on Switch 1! And it's what rekindled my interest in the system following a period of lost interest during Aug through Oct 2017.

I usually just change my avatar to the protag of the latest Fatal Frame game haha

And yeah, 3D Mario is high on my list of most craved games too, it's been so long man

I believe this is concept art from Super Mario Odyssey... ofc this is an edited version. It was considered to be cover art. Odyssey had some really cool cover art options!

I do love Odyssey, one of my favourite games of the Switch generation, and IMO second only to Galaxy 1/2 as the greatest 3D Mario.

As to the topic, I've just been clearing up my Switch 2 backlog; gonna finish off Starship Troopers, Pragmata and Kena before Indiana Jones comes out next week.
