Alright, I’m placing my bet: 3D Mario will be given a teaser (or small reveal) at the end of Nintendo’s February Direct this year. Launch will be in late-October 2026. In addition to this, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom will be given NS2 Edition treatment and a remake for Ocarina of Time will be slated for H1’27 (but the latter won’t be revealed until the June or September Direct. The launch will be planned so as to best compliment the release of the Zelda movie next year).

If no OoT remake, then WW/TP will be shadow-dropped during the February Direct. Nintendo is known to listen to their loudest base of consumers (Tomodachi Life, Mario Strikers, Metroid Prime 4, PM:TTYD Remake, etc.), and I suspect this to be no different.

I can't argue with any of that.

A new 3D Zelda is probably releasing in 2029-2030. They need some stuff to tide people over. I don't think Nintendo will ever break the depressing release cycle of 3D Zelda from 2006 to the present. It seems like 5 years is the minimum between 3D Zeldas with 6-7 years on the table as 6 has happened. I find it highly unlikely Switch 2's 3D Zelda will reuse the world or any assets from the Wild duology. While Wind Waker was heavy on sea traveling, I feel like that's probably next. Underwater and above water travel could be a big focus for the next 3D Zelda.

3D Mario is all but guaranteed to be unveiled this year even if it doesn't come out this year.

I forgot the slide button for Viola in Metroid Prime 4. -_-

*(I'll have to add a photo later today... apparently the photo I took is 5x the max file size allowed here lol.)*

My mind is blown— The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time @ 60fps, 1440p (16:9). Finally, the $2,000 I paid for this gaming PC is starting to pay off!! Unreal experience.

(What’s crazy is how easily accessible the… um… legally attainable ROM files are for N64 games.)

Seems to be backed up by the actress who played Sheva as she indicated something was on the way, RE5 is a very straightforward game to Remake tcompared to the other games tbh.

That's actually a good month to release Fire Emblem I think as long as the game is ready enough in terms of content and stability.

And the next trailer will probably be in the all but guaranteed February Direct.

Oh yeah ROM files are completely legal, which is why it’s so easy to find them lol. It’s when you start charging for them is when you enter illegal territory.

I’ve got at least 2TB of ROMs built up over the years.

You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind

I never noticed the pixel response time issue with the Switch 2 when I played Mario Kart or Fire Emblem Engage, but with Mario RPG now I am. Anything that moves looks like it has a very short (1 frame) trail behind it. Moving objects are blurrier then they should be.

It's certainly not a deal breaker but I'll definitely be interested in their future revisions for better motion clarity, never bothered with OLED Switch 1.

Fixing that issue, better dock and better battery life is probably my revision wishlist. Assuming power or better DLSS is off the table which it probably is.

I don't understand why YouTube isn't available on Switch 2.
