Started the Quake 2 Nightdive remaster and Tunic. (Playing multiple games concurrently tickles my ADHD brain and keeps me from getting bored)

Quake 2 is still an absolute blast; its crazy how well it has aged after nearly 30 years and it's incredibly fun to this day. Excellent remaster as well, does a great job of capturing "how you remember it looking" and is a silky smooth 60fps.

Tunic is very well made, but holy moly it's demanding. I adore its art style, soundscape, and the sense of wonder and discovery, but I ended up turning on No Fail mode cos while it's mostly manageable, there were a couple of really brutal difficulty spikes.

Ooh Tunic is a game that I recently added to my Steam account. Hoping to play it someday soon. Really love Zelda games, and “demanding” is my favorite thing to hear.

Super Mario RPG has gotten really cheap. Just picked it up for £20.

Now I just need the others bringing to Switch 1/2! I really wish the Superstar Saga remake had been for Switch and not 3DS.

Played a good bit of Jamboree. Probably the best brand new (so not counting superstars) Mario Party game since the gamecube, it's very good. But a shame so many of the minigames are only for the side modes. There's not many minigames on the board mode, getting lots of repeats after just 3x15 turn games and 1x10 turn game.

Dang! I knew Z-A was a step up from ScVi, but this is shocking. This might be the only time I say this about a Pokémon game lol… but the lighting looks gorgeous here!

Yeah it sounds like it'd be right up your alley, it's basically 2D Zelda with light shades of Souls, similar to say Death's Door if you played that one.

I'm normally not into hard games but thankfully it has a No Fail mode so I'm actually enjoying it.

I’ve been playing a lot of Nightdive remasters lately lol. I did replay Quake 1 and 2. Hoping we get Quake 3 someday despite it being multiplayer only.

Recently finished Outlaws and Star Wars Dark Forces. Thinking of getting Heretic + Hexen. Didn’t get around to those yet.

Even Turok 1 and 2 have been getting updates lately lol

Yeah I've recently gotten deep into Nightdive's work as well, just downloaded the Turok trilogy this morning as it was 75% off.

I love the way they keep the game's aesthetic/feel as is but update it in smart subtle ways so it looks/plays like how you remember while still feeling modern and convenient.
