I guess Nintendo wasn't satisfied with just the 60fps patch. Wonder what additional content they'll add for a Switch 2 edition.

I just hope next year isn't just full of Switch 2 editions like the WiiU ports in 2018, and there's some good new games announced in the next direct. AC, SMW, Pikmin 4 and Splatoon 3. Already up to 4 for 2026 if true.

Fire Emblem, Mario Tennis, Yoshi, Pokopia and Tomodachi are the 2026 line-up of new games announced so far.

Rating is for the 60fps patch from June (July?).

Just checked Mario Odyssey and that has a Switch 2 entry for just the update on the Pegi site as well. As has Pokémon S/V.

So IDK if this is proof of anything further for Splatoon 3. But Splatoon 3 SW2 on the Pegi site just has a placeholder release date for SW2 unlike the others so that could mean something.

One game we really need on Switch 2 is Diddy Kong Racing.

If they'd done Diddy Kong Racing instead of MKW and just done an update for MK8D instead I'd have loved that lol.

OFC DKR wouldn't sell 50m+ copies.

Because everyone is second banana to Mario. -_-

The depression spending demon took a hold of me and I grabbed a bunch of Switch games on sale.

Some didn't resonate; I tried Divinity Original Sin II but found it too complicated for my simple brain. Some I haven't tried yet, like Sea of Stars which I picked up for its gorgeous pixel art and music.

I do wanna give a shoutout to Night Striker Gear, which passed me by back when it released; brilliant little game that I highly recommend to anyone who grew up with old school arcade shooters.
