Looks like the Switch 2 version of FF7 Remake is somewhere in the middle when compared to the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game, but leans more toward the PS5 Performance Mode version in terms of fidelity. Impressive port!

Performance at 30fps appears to be rock solid as well.

Iningames has revealed that Nintendo now offers two smaller cartridge sizes for Switch 2 games. Was already desperately needed but especially with NAND prices currently rising. The 64gb carts were far too expensive.

I'm guessing it's now 64gb, 32gb and 16gb, but could be 32+8 or 16+8 as well.

R-Type III is now releasing on a physical cartridge because of this, but even with the cheaper smaller cartridge they're still putting up the price compared to what they were going to charge for the key card.

"Two days ago Nintendo announced two new smaller cartridge sizes for Nintendo Switch 2. This allows us to recalculate production in a way that wasn’t possible before. As a result, we’ve made the following decision:

The entire European and US production of R-Type Dimensions III for Nintendo Switch 2 will be released on a full physical cartridge.

A little downside to this positive news: The price for the retail and the special edition of the NSW2 version will increase by €10 due to the still higher productions costs."

It's awesome to see, but needing to increase the price despite using a lower storage cartridge is still quite a sting. Regardless, more options are always a good thing!

After having only Mario Kart World and DK Bananza for my Switch 2 for so long, I decided it was time to get some more games. While I do still use my Steam Deck, I still like the smaller form factor of the Switch 2, even though it's ironically bigger than the first Switch lol. So I got Yooka-Replayee, Cyberpunk 2077, and Hades 2. Thankfully, the latter 2 games support cross-save, so I'll be able to continue where I left off, but I might start new playthroughs. At least for Cyberpunk.

Waiting for System Shock remake and Marvel Cosmic Invasion to release physically for Switch 2, but those will most likely be my next purchases!

What would happen of they left the gaming market? What would Nintendo do since they use Nvidia gpus?

Well the chips Nintendo use aren't for pc gaming anyway. The Orin chips were used in vehicles and factories before being repurposed for the Switch 2.

If Nvidia did completely stop making the necessary hardware and/or software necessary for modern gaming then they'd have to go to either AMD or Qualcomm.

I think MKW has a solid shot of becoming the top selling game in history for the region of Japan, the vast majority of sales for the Switch 2 are the bundle which could lead to the region's first 20m to 30m seller when it's all said and done.

Agree, but there's the thing Nintendo said about that specific bundle which seems to indicate it isn't staying as a mainstay throughout next year, like it was since launch.

It's likely to come back during the next holiday but it also would be genuinely insane thinking a single country could equate about a third of its lifetime sales or so....
