The originals got a 85/86 on gamerankings, Warped got 91 metacritic. I expected anywhere from 80-84 rounded up.

And 82 is a very, very good score. I'm happy for Crash actually.

This has become increasingly apparent, especially for older games that don't conform to modern game design (namely platformers).

Yup, one point extra of every new feature. Could have been a 94. Guess we'll never know.

when it comes to playstation games, reviewers are over critical and nitpickey about the dumbest shit you can think of.

C'mon, man! You don't believe that. For one thing, PlayStation games tend to get some of the highest reviews of any games on the market! And there's rumor that this game isn't going to stay exclusive--it's not made by Sony or Naughty Dog.
I still have the original PS versions on Vita for nostalgia's sake. Good memories but (for me), even games from the PS2 era have gameplay/mechanic flaws that are hard to overlook after years of refinement. I guess we'll just have to wait until tomorrow and see if the criticism is justified.
