It's not blocking cross play. It's blocking Microsoft. There is a difference, Sony has been supporting cross play since PS3. It's quite remarkable that Phil Spencer is able to alter the way that people remember history, or how he can project one of their weaknesses onto Sony and make it seem like it's Sonys fault. (Oh, unlike other companies we announce and release our games within a short time frame...(this actually turned out false. Time to release vs announce is shorter on PlayStation)) or trying to tell people xo X is the only true 4K console...Then proceeds to show E3 trailers with checker board upscaling.
but anyway, Sony supports cross play. They have for a long time. |
I remember they said it was Microsoft why Rocket League wasn't cross play on all three but yet that seems to be untrue. Especially with Rocket League and Minecraft being cross play for MS, Ninty and PC.
On Topic: I guess depending on the dev you may get a different answer about who is easier to work with...
Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.
