...and now Sony is allowing EA Access on the PS4.

Wut?

My apologies, they are allowing select games to be played on PS4 for a week. Upon a second look im not so sure anymore, but will have those games available. The question is how it will be implemented.

EA Access is available on Xbox One and Origin Access is for PC, but PS4 players aren't being left out. EA said there will be free trials for some of its games available on PS4 all week. These include Madden NFL 17FIFA 17Titanfall 2EA Sports UFC 2, and Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare. PS4 owners with a copy of Star Wars Battlefront will have free access to all DLC maps and heroes for the duration of this event.

So you just need the account, right? Meaning I would only need to pay for Nintendo's $20 service

Yeah, So you will probably sign in like Ubisoft or Origin with a third party login.

Since when does Sony allow EA Access on PS4?

Its probably just a short preview. The question is how they are implementing it. If Sony is doing marketing deals with EA, they might want to throw them a bone as well.

Will it count in the monthly "Xbox live game hours" stats MS love to give us instead of sales numbers?

I dont even know where to start? Probably (LOL). I know Microsoft wishes Sony and Nintendo were using Xbox Live (from a historical standpoint). LOL

I guess it'd be a bit of an annoyance for those without Microsoft accounts, but it doesn't bother me.

Perhaps it wont be an annoyance for them. It will just be a smooth transition if they ever decide to get an Xbox. I think people will be just as annoyed as those who create an origin, or Ubisoft account. It wasnt really annoying for me.

I suppose they're different. My Microsoft account is actually rather useful. With Onedrive, Excel, and other things which use my account, it doesn't exactly go to waste (unlike my origin account). That free 100gb Onedrive storage is pretty neat too

Don't you also need a SEN-Account for most SOE games on PC?

How about at Rocket League? Any news on that?

Pocky Lover Boy!

Sony want to sell an Xbox own IP and dont want to use there services to play it?
Maybe MS should just pull the plug on the PS versions.
Sony had no issues signing into Steam for Portal 2 for cross play.
Seems they just want to take and never give.
Arrogant at its best.
