So was ps3 back in its day at $600. Got creamed by the weaker and cheaper 360.

Except the Playstation 3 had the Cell and split memory pools which made the console sub-optimal to develop for, resulting in a ton of multiplats performing better on the Xbox 360.

Besides. The Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 sales ended up as a wash at the end. I wouldn't say either console got "creamed".

Speaking for North America I should have stated. Sales were 2-1 in favor of 360 with Microsoft selling 50 million to Sony's 25-6 million.

I'm curious how ppl think Xbox "won" E3. All I saw were games that were announced years ago like crackdown, sea of thieves, cuphead, ashen, another year of forza, a ton of small indies, and some multiplats. And a $500 upgrade console with no games to showcase its power except for possibly anthem by bioware, a multiplat.

If that's winning, then that just shows how much E3 has fallen in recent years. IMO however, I kindly believe Nintendo and Sony had a very close battle for first place. Both had amazing new games on display.

days gone, detroid, gow, spiderman....Déjà vu?

marvel vs capcom, uncharted lost legacy, destiny 2

Ni no kuni 2

Final Fantasy Dissida

Shadow of the collusus

Yoshi

kirby

Gundam Versus

And god of war reboot, days gone and Detroit I mentioned were just announced last year and are close to coming out. Most of xboxes games were showed in three or more years ago and still aren't out. Not really a fair comparison.

Congrats MS, now let's se that convert to improved sales and image.

Jump over the pond to Japan... And the Xbox 360 gets obliterated.

Been saying Xbox had the better show since it ended. 42 games announced, 22 console exclusives. A bunch of games releasing in 2017 something there competition failed to do. Xbox walked away with the Buzz. Sure its not going to automatically put them first on Amazon (because alot shown isnt even pre-orderable yet) however like i keep saying sales doesnt mean better show. Sales doesn't mean better anything.
I personally think Nintendo had the best games shown and annouced however you cannot top Hardware announcements plus a flood of many different artful  games.

Yeah, most people were talking about how it's too expensive, that isn't a good thing.

From what I am hearing most people think $499 is great for a TRUE 4K Console.

Well I mean, Here I am playing Wipeout at 4K/60 fps, on my PS4 pro, so I guess that's a true 4K console too by your own metrics! And look at that price tag - $100 cheaper than the X1X. What a great deal, huh?

That 4k blu ray player being the $100 difference im assuming too. If it didn't have that, it would probably be $399 like the Pro. So for Sony fans, they get a 4k console at a $100 less.

But even then it's largely irrelevant as most ppl just go for the cheapest option. As in the S model, a PS4 slim or Switch. X and Pro will only sell a fraction of their cheaper cousins, making this whole topic redundant.

Delusion. Everyone knows this was Nintendo's year...
