Right... but the person you said couldn't give a link was talking about last-gen anyway. |
The person was talking about if the XBO was ahead of the PS4.

Yes "IF" how are you supposed to give a link/source to a hypothetical situation? So surely when spemanig asked for a link he was referring to the second half of the post.

That's why I said the link doesn't exist
| hunter_alien said: Why is it unhealthy? Or who even cares? One 6 year old game cannot be played cross-platform, something that was never even promised in the first place? Yeah, I mean this mentality surely destroys the industry, not the fact that MS locks their PC offerings behind that dump that they call the windows store. No sir. This is yet another big deal that was born out of the need to find an issue with Sony. Just like the lack of 4K BD playback... |
Yep, and we'll see how this affects sales. Here's a hint, it won't. Like I said in another thread, Spencer is throwing shit against the wall to attack Sony or try to be the good guys to Nintendo fans. It's not working.
My only complaint is that Sony didn't give the real answer. It has nothing to do with the children. It actually makes more sense than that. MS is forcing people to join their network to play the game cross platform. Sony not only doesn't want MS padding its MAU numbers with PS gamers, but they don't want them getting their info, either. MS could have definitely done cross platform without XBL if they chose to. Personally, I think Nintendo is going to regret signing up to give MS complete control of this.

ABsolutly. This wont affect anyones purchase, no matter how much fuss is made online about it. The answer was stupid at best, honestly, and they could have made up any other generic answer that would have made sense, but hey, I really dont care. Hell I dont care about any game out on the market right now that supports on any platform cross-play, and Im certain that nobody will make a purchase decision based on it.
Vote the Mayor for Mayor!
Papa phil trashtalking again. what about console launch exclusives, is it healty for the industry ?
or buying timed exclusivity for multiplatfrom games, is it healthy for the industry ?
or maybe lying about true 4k and shitting on checkboarding, when xbone x also uses checkboarding, is it healthy for the industry ?
or microsoft games, not releasing on steam, is it healthy for the industry ?
Nobody cares about industry, everybody tries to do what's best for their company, so stop lying to us, phil
the only thing i agree with is that sony's answer was pretty bad, they could say smth like business decision and that's all.
Sony's decision may be a good one from a corporate perspective, but It's just anti-consumer.
I think a single platform is something which will definately come in the future. I'm thinking the whole protect the children is a load of bull in honestly.
But.
A while back, my Bro, who was Xbox only bought a PS4 and was talking in party about how he was enjoying Last of Us. Suddenly people he had gamed with for 5-10 years were calling him a Pony and Sony fag. So much so, he had to block some long time friends, and he eventually sold his one, because it had soured his experience. I want to enjoy my game time when I come home from work, and play usually with friends, family and other friends of both. I'm happy to include some random extras sometimes, but I don't want my gaming experiance to be cross platform console warring instead of playing something with a smile on my face.
Secondly, I am amazed that Nintendo are allowing Xbox live on to the Switch. Even to the extent that they are talking about possibly having achievements for your account on a system which doesn't have any itself. I think that fact is blurring what might well have been different if it was done via a third party unification system.
