Nice addition.Man, 3DS sure is getting alot of love.
My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

I thought Paper Jam was great. I liked it more than Dream Team, Paper Mario Sticker star by a lot.
My ML rankings are
1. Bowsers Inside Story
2. SuperStar Saga
3. Paper Jam
4. Dream Team
5. The 2nd one that was so horrible I can't even remember the name lol

Really though? Although I can't complain about the Switch Library so far, it's gotten to a point where I feel Nintendo is clearly afraid of making the Switch its primary portable system. The 3DS is at the end of its lifecycle but Nintendo is making it a competitor to the Switch. Make this game 1080p, and add some additional textures while you're at it, and you have a Switch M&L RPG for mid 2018. |
Reggie himself said that people don't realize the 3ds was the only system to have grown in sales in 2016 (I guess Wii U, ps4, and xbox one all declined compared to previous year?), so it would be stupid for them to bury it sooner than necessary. If there is money to be made, then they have right to make it. Besides, people don't expect ML on Switch as much as they do a real Paper Mario game. And DX looks visually worse than the latest ML games, so I'm sure it is very cheap for them to make this.
And them games keep coming!!! You're awesome Nintendo, thanks for all that 3DS support!
Damn Nintendo. They're killing my wallet :(

Partners in Time. I liked playing as the babies though, only for the novelty lol. Never played Paper Jam. It looked too generic.
And forgot how fantastic Bowsers Inside Story was. That one was absolutely a joy to play.

Yes it was. It caused me to REALLY REALLY want a Bowser RPG spinoff game. Or just a Bowser spinoff game. The character has so much more depth in that game than he usually does and he is such a loveable villian!
Seems like "Bowsers Minions" is entirely new content, so it's not just a port/remaster.
Will 3DS ever die? At this rate it will reach 80m. O.O
Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

I'm pretty sure Nintendo is increasingly thinking that there's a market for both, and in that they might not actually be wrong.
Nintendo always looks for voids to fill (as everyone does), as evidenced by their 2DS, 3DS, 3DS XL, and recently 2DS XL, and if they think they can keep the DS line going they may very well do so. After all, while the handheld market has diminished in size they're running a near monopoly of it right now, and tens of millions of sales is nothing to scoff at.
Otherwise, they probably realize a bunch of people finally bought one for last year's Pokemon games (as Reggie pointed out it was the only platform to sell more than the previous year in 2016), and it wouldn't reflect well on them if they pulled support the moment that influx happened.
