Forums - Gaming - Does GOW kill off Xbox One X (& PS4 Pro) chances?

The only console I own is a PS4 Pro.

Then 37 of the most recent 40 threads you've made all being Microsoft/Xbox focussed is a very strange thing.

I like both Xbox and PS4 but Xbox is my main brand.

Sold the og PS4 and upgraded to a PS4 Pro. Sold the og Xbox One and will be upgrading to an Xbox One X.

It looks amazing. Sony has amazing line up of games. 2018 is going to huge and I think PS4P slim will also be released with a official price drop. TBH I do not see the X doing anything for Microsoft. They seriously need true exclusive and really good ones to even compete. PS4P or for that matter PS4 can handle great gfx at 1080P

I think they did that with Anthem.  In my opinion it is the best looking game of the show.  Of course, still a moot point since we are talking about premium consoles aimed at the 13% or so of the population that actually have a tv capable of realizing the potential of these systems.  Those people just want to justify their purchases...

Yet Anthem isn't Xbox One X exclusive....

It doesn't matter.  If you watch E3 and the majority of the games that excited you were from 3rd Party developers than the X1X probably look like a prospect.  I personally would say that their are a huge list of 3rd party games that look great to me so the X1X looks like a viable upgrade since I do have that 4K HDR set.  Since I have a X1, it will probalby go to my younger son so he can play his Mindcraft to his heart content and stay off my main set.

My bad, I thought we were talking about how powerful the console was and how games looked on it, but evidently we are just talking about exclusives...

Are we gonna pretend X1X has no great looking 4K content?

3rd party stuff aside like Battlefront II. I think Gears 4 and Forza 7 are notable stuff visually, especially at 4K with 60 fps in some cases.

Anywho, X1X is gonna have the most polished versions of multiplat games. Thats worth something to people that care about graphics.

The X1X power isnt solely for resolution either.

Right now it is.

Sure Jan...... that's as believable as the switch being my main console

Everybody is not like you :) Favoring a platform over another one does not mean you need to hate the other one...
I know it is very difficult concept to grasp for few but some people are like that. I own a PStation Four too and while not being my main console and having less interrest into it; I still have it for the exclusives that are on it (the ones interresting me obviously, not all)

ps4 pro + GOW = Less money than the XBX = PS4 Pro and GOW > XBX

Nope,

Xbox One X will be my main console

PS4 Pro will only for the exclusives that I want to play

We're exactly the same. I prefer Xbox for its brand and features but I'm not a fool. I have a PS4 and a PS4 Pro and, aside from a couple of exceptions (due to sales, mostly), I've purchased more of my multiplats on PlayStation 4. It just had the best versions a technical level.

I know I'm getting an Xbox One X so that console should have the best versions on 3rd party games. Xbox will go back to being my "go to" for third party games and PlayStation will be home to my exclusives.
