Eh doing better than those 3 combined

3rd parties...the E3 shows one thing: Many new games - Not for switch: The Evil Within 2, DragonBall Fighters Z, Code Vein, Assassins Creed Origins and Far Cry 5, The Crew 2, Marvel vs Capcom, new Metro, Monster Hunter World, hack//G.U. Last Recode, Tropico 6, Anthem ect.. the games support is bad in my opinion. the best news for me is Ni No Kuni 2 Release in november.

I personally expect 3-4 big new games (new announcements) by nintendo now, because so many games on the switch do not appear. My biggest wish is that end of the next year 2018 a stronger switch-hardware upgrade will appear, but this possible announcement we will see earliest next E3.

why are some people on this site so obsessed with western 3rd party support on Switch?

I mean, at least Nintendo has Ubisoft putting games on Switch. It could be worse.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,

Geez, people still expecting 3rd parties to be on board with Nintendo are delusional at this point. Third parties don't want Nintendo and Nintendo doesn't want third parties. Want to play 3rd party games? Buy a Playstation.

We shouldn't have to buy overpriced trash like that, just to MAYBE get good support.

I also had extra cash in hand and had been curious about Street Fighter previously. I am also aware of the stereotype of Nintendo fans only buying Nintendo.

Yeah, I'll give credit to Ubisoft.  They're not putting everything on the Switch but what they are putting is a hell of a lot more than what every other western 3rd party is contributing.  Even then, I didn't expect much this year from 3rd parties; next year is when I expect more significant 3rd party support since it seems (outside of a select few companies) like Nintendo gave dev kits to 3rd parties pretty late and decided to carry the burden during the first year by themselves.

I will give them credit for their support, though their lack of 2018 targeted titles for the Switch is what frustrates me.

Why should 3rd parties support Nintendo?
Has Nintendo given them a market for them to thrive on - like MS and Sony did?

Until some big changes happen within Nintendo we will always get the bare minimum.

What sort of market is needed? Does Nintendo need to release a few dozen zombie shooters first?

The Switch was never going to get most of the third parties.

I don't need all of them, I'd appreciate seeing 60-70% of them.

Nintendo's type of games aren't gamer's priority.
So, either Nintendo adapts their strategy are they will always be seen as a second option. And that might work well when you have a Switch on your hands, but when you don't...

Ubisoft announced quite a few. We had Skyrim om stage and fifa.

Up until 3 months ago, the fate of the Switch was very uncertain so 3rd party support can't be present at this E3. There wasn't enough time for a turn around and that's assuming that 3rd parties will want to dedicate ressources to Switch versions of their games.

Signature goes here!

I didn't expect that much support from western devs anyway. We'll get a couple of old ports announced sooner or later, that's cheap and safe for everyone. I want the japanese companies to jump soon, I know they can take a while to jump from 3DS to Switch, but there's no reason not to do a double release.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Thank you, I think we all needed a good laugh.
