Forums - Nintendo Discussion - I was wrong about waiting till E3 for Switch third party

Im not afraid to eat my words. I said we should wait and see what's revealed at E3 before we judge the Switch (in the thinking that at least a few Switch games would be announced) and literally all we have heard so far is a few new details for already known Switch games. Now unless Nintendo is planning on announcing a bunch of third party games tomorrow at their spotlight (which I don't see why they would do that, as the 3rd parties should have done that at their conferences). I was wrong. Though you would have thought that a 3rd parties would have tried to jump on the Switch hype train, and shown off a new game or two (port or not) to try and capitalize on the still low quantity of games on Switch. What 3rd party conferences are left?

Bethesda, EA, and Ubisoft are not the only major third parties.

But you were wrong to expect big third party support at this E3.

Don't panic yet, Microsoft and Sony both have revealed third party games at their conferences before too.

Saying that don't expect miracles and to see lots of AAA games.

Um, Ubisoft announced like 4-5 games supporting Switch at this conference. That's more than I expected so I'm pretty happy. I don't need every 3rd party game because most aren't that good. The ones we have coming is good enough in my opinion. The only one I was bumed we dont have coming is that Ubisoft pirate game, that looked awesome.

Nintendo doesn't need them.

The Switch is going to get most of the indie games. The Switch will get all the Japanese Handheld support. (Which includes the Vita).

The only companies who probably will not support the Switch are PC western gaming companies that demand hardware with huge power.

The Switch will do just fine. Nintendo never had PC western support. In matter of fact they don't like Nintendo since forever. I doubt it will change this generation.

Switch is 9th generation. Everyone else is playing on last gen systems! UPDATE: This is no longer true

And what was that? All I saw was that starlight, just dance, and the Mario/rabbids game.

One we knew, one that was expected, and one that's a toys to life game.

This is hardly surprising. A mostly last gen system when the industry is riding the pro and the scorpio. The third party situation was never set to change. But hey... Ubi found a way to give mario a gun. :p

I was hopeful too....of course Third Party publishers are filth and I forgot that at the hope I might actually get to enjoy them. I even bought SF2 Switch to try and avoid saying I never did anything to help improve the situation.

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?

We shouldn't have to buy overpriced trash like that, just to MAYBE get good support.
