I don't understand why this isn't on Switch. Certainly doesn't look impressive enough that it couldn't run on it.

Capcom truly is a garbage partner, can't rely on them at all.

Gameplay looks decent though and the graphics as well (not great, but certainly not bad either).

As this game only sells in Japan, it really doesn't make difference that it is on PC and X1. Only a Switch version would be an issue.

PC AAA market (decent dedicated GPUs) is hardly on the hundreds of millions. If it runs on machines with integrated graphics (WoW or LoL system requirements), then it could tap a big market on China/South Korea.

World is meant to sell in the West, not Japan. PC and XBO do make a difference here.

In a time were the portable user base was 240M. Right now, PS4 alone will be above 3DS and Vita combined. I won't count Switch as a portable because Nintendo itself say it isn't, so that's another good chunk of sales to add with PS4/X1.

Well, so far the PS4 isn't above 3DS sales. And Switch targets the gaming on the go too, so it clearly targets this group which buys MonHun on handhelds. I wouldn't be too sure, let's see how this turns out. At the moment I cannot guess the number MOnHUn World will make.

Japan. In Japan, main market of MH, homeconsoles are nowhere near portables.

Looks like this game is about testing the waters to see if it's worth making MH5 Switch exclusive or multiplat.

I mean with the Switch being close to PS4 hardware there really is no point in making games like SMTV exclusive anymore, especially with how well Persona 5 sold in the west.

I think this gen there will almost be no 3rd party Japanese exclusives from now on, but i could be wrong.

But I don't get the hype that us Westerners online give this series. The game never seems to sell that well outside Japan. You all better hope it sells gangbusters, or it will be 'doomed' to handhelds with their complex game mechanics and little boy graphics.

I've purchased the game once, and enjoyed it well enough, but won't ever be buying another one.
